The Genshin Impact 2.8 Live Stream Date & Time has been announced, and as always, will provide information on the next Banner calendar and events included with the free update.
A new character in patch 2.8 was heavily talked about by social media marketing, but nothing else was teased or announced, leading to a lot of speculation about potential leaks.
We will cover the exact date and time of the Genshin Impact 2.8 live stream below, and also provide all the information we know about the upcoming banners and their characters from official sources and reliable leaks.

Genshin Impact 2.8 Live Stream Date and Time in UK, CEST, EDT and PDT
Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream starts on Saturday, July 2 at 8 a.m. (UTC-4) on the official Genshin Impact Twitch channel. He will then go live on the official Youtube channel at 12 p.m. (UTC-4)
In other time zones, you can watch the 2.8 livestream on the Genshin Impact Twitch channel at:

- United States East Coast: 8 a.m. (EDT)

What to expect from Genshin Impact 2.8 banners
The Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream will provide more details on Banner’s solid dates and characters, but for now, it’s almost been confirmed that Shikanoin Heizou, a character from Anemo, will debut at some point during the Banner 2.8 timeline.. The official Genshin Impact Twitter has provided an image and description of Detective Inazuma, as they tend to do with upcoming character debuts.

It’s unclear if he’s debuting in Phase 1 or 2, but seeing as Shikanoin Heizou was teased so early, it’s likely he’ll be slated for one of the first Event Banners, based on historical information about previous characters. Lumie_lumie, the prominent leaker of Genshin Impact on Twitter, also claims that Heizou will debut in Banner’s first phase.

The same leaker too claims Klee and Kaedehara Kazuha will be available in Phase 1 revive the banners with their signature weapons, Lost Prayer and Freedom Sworn, respectively.

Elsewhere, a leaker with a 100% track record to provide future banner details, which goes by the moniker Uncle Y, has claimed that a Yoimiya replay banner will also take place after the 2.8 update.

If all of the information above turns out to be true, the characters we’ll see in Update 2.8 include:
- Debut of Shikanoin Heizou (Anemo)
- Klee replay (5 star pyro)
- Kaedehara Kazuha Replay (5-Star Anemo)
- Yoimiya Replay (5 Star Pyro)
As a reminder, none of these banners and characters have been officially confirmed, so we’ll have to see during the Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream if the leaks were accurate or not.
