What to expect from Genshin Impact 3.4 banners
We’ll have to wait for the 3.4 livestream for official details on who the Character Event Banners will be, but there have been reliable leaks providing information on possible upcoming 3.4 Banners for Phase 1 and Phase 2.
Yukizero (via SaveYourPrimos on Twitter) condensed this information nicely for us, saying that the next Genshin Impact banners will feature new character by Dendro Alhaitham and return of the character Anemo Xiao like the 5 star stars.

3.4 First half – Alhaitham + Xiao + Yaoyao
3.4 Second Half – Hu Tao + Yelan pic.twitter.com/bbzn4SmYYH— SYP 💎🙌 Please tag 3.3 𝕤𝕡𝕠𝕚𝕝𝕖𝕣𝕤. (@SaveYourPrimos) December 18, 2022
Yukizero also claims that new Dendro 4 star Yaoyao will be featured in Alhaitham and Xiao banners in phase 1, and that phase 2 of 3.4 banners will feature Hu Tao 5 stars back (pyro) and Yelan (Hydro).
Hu Tao was previously leaked by ‘Uncle Lu’ (who has an almost impeccable leak record), and Alhaitham and Yaoyao began to be marketed on the official Genshin Impact Twitterso we’re inclined to believe they’ll appear in future banners – but that’s still just speculation at the moment.
If the information above turns out to be correct, the characters we will see in the 3.4 update include:
- The beginnings of Alhaitham (Dendro 5 stars)
- Yaoyao debut (4-star Dendro)
- Replay of Xiao (Anemo 5 stars)
- Replay of Hu Tao (5-star pyro)
- Yelan Replay (5 Star Hydro)
Much like the characters, we only have leaked speculation for the weapon banners so far. However, if the above information is correct, we can expect to see the new 5 star sword Light of Foliar Incisionwhich should be Alhaitham’s signature weapon, and returning Primordial Jade Winged-Spear 5-Star PolearmXiao’s signature weapon.
Also from the Yukizero leak, the upcoming 3.4 Phase 2 Epitome summon banner appears to feature the 5 Star Pole Arm Homa’s Staffand 5 Star Arc Water Simulatorwhich are the signature weapons of Hu Tao and Yelan respectively.
As a reminder, none of this information is official, so we’ll have to wait for the 3.4 livestream for solid details on who and what will be on the next Genshin Impact banners.
