What is the spinel fruit used for?
Spinel Fruit is a Natlan cooking ingredient in Genshin Impact that you can also use to purchase Natlan Weapon Blueprints. Specifically, you need x10 Spinel Fruit (along with other materials) to purchase the following Weapon Blueprints from a Natlan Blacksmith:
- Ezpitzal Flute (Sword)
- Rainbow Imprint (Polearm)
While there are only 15 Spinel Fruit slots, each one actually contains two fruits, allowing you to harvest 30 at a time. To harvest more, you must either wait two real-world days for them to respawn, or join another co-op world and collect theirs.
Here’s where to get the Spinel Fruit:
Genshin Impact Spinel Fruit Locations
Spinel Fruit can be found underground near the Liquid Phlogiston areas of Natlan in Genshin Impact. There are only 15 Spinel Fruit locations in Natlan, and 13 of those locations are in the underground portion of the Ameyalco Waters area near the Spring People Tribe in Natlan, making it the best place to farm them. This area is called Toyac Springs.
There are also two Spinel Fruit locations in the underground part of Tequemecan Valleynear the Children of Echoes tribe in Natlan.
Both areas require you to start world quests to access them.
Toyac Springs
There are 13 Spinel Fruit locations in Toyac Springs, with each location containing two fruits, for a total of 26 fruits.
Here is an illustrated map of all Spinel Fruit locations in the Toyac Springs Underground area:
To unlock Toyac Springs, you must complete the world quest “A Tale of Dreams Snatched from Fire”. To begin this quest, descend into the large hole in the ground just south of the Statue of the Seven of Ameyalco Waters in the People of the Springs area of Natlan.
Speak to Chikya at the bottom of the hole to pick up the quest, which will take you to Toyac Springs. It’s best to inhabit one of the Koholasaurus saurians while farming Spinel Fruits here, as they don’t take damage from the lava-like Phlogiston.
Tequemecan Valley (underground)
There are only two Spinel fruit growing sites in the Tequemecan Valley underground region, but they contain a total of four fruits.
Here is an illustrated map of all Spinel Fruit locations in the Tepeacac Rise underground area:
You must obtain the Tisoc Pass to start the world quest “Ripened for Trouble” which opens this underground area. The cave to enter this area is located just below the large pomegranate tree in Tequemecan Valley.
By following the quest “Ripened for Trouble”, you will head further underground to the two Spinel Fruit locations.
When you come back to harvest the fruit again, you should instead inhabit a Yumkasaurus Saurian and make your way to the large hole south of the cave. Then, jump and grapple your way to the other end of this lower level. The Spinel fruits are right next to each other at the back of this area.
