Every week the GTA Online Weekly Update brings a whole new set of rewards, prizes, and gifts for you to get your hands on. Whether you’re keen to show off your skills at the LS Car Meet to win a new vehicle or want to expand your property portfolio with discount properties, there’s bound to be something for you.
Here we will guide you everything added in the weekly GTA Online update so you know what to expect when you enter Los Santos. There are a few rewards limited to those of you using next-gen consoles, but the majority of items added in updates are available to anyone who plays GTA Online.

What time are the weekly GTA Online updates?
The update usually goes live on a Thursday morning and here are the times it roughly drops:
- UK: 10am (GMT)
- Europe: 11am (CET)
- US East Coast: 5am (EST)
- United States West Coast: 2 a.m. (PST)
It is important to note that these are not set times, updates may come sooner or later depending on how Rockstar has decided to release them.
All features below are available until the next update on Thursday January 12.
Final Week of the Festive Event in GTA Online
It’s the last week of the annual GTA Online Party Event, so it’s your last chance to get the following:
- Gooch Mask – Take out the Gooch before they take you out.
- snowman outfit – Destroy the 25 snowmen hidden around the map.
- WM 9 pistol – Take out the target at the top of Weazel Plaza.
- Finished Pistol MK II Season’s Greetings – Take out the target at the top of Weazel Plaza.

If you’re on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, head over to the LS Car meetup and (once you’ve purchased a subscription from Mimi) test drive Hao’s Premium Test Ride this week which is the Imponte Arbiter GT.

GTA Online Time Trial
Here’s everything you need to know about Trio Trials in GTA Online this week:
RC Bandito Time Trial
To be able to start this time trial, you will need to own an Arena garage and have purchased the RC Bandito from the “special” option on Southern San Andreas Super Autos.
The RC Bandito Time Trial is available at Vespucci Beach this week. Beat the trial in the nominal time of 02:05.00 this week will net you $100,000 for the first time, then only a few thousand dollars if you do it again. You still get money for not beating the time limit.
HSW Time Trial
To start this type of time trial, you must own and drive an HSW vehicle. This week, the HSW time trial is at Perro Beach.
Against the watch
The main time trial can be done in almost any vehicle you own, so be sure to choose one that you know has the ability to beat the target time. These trials are only available to those of you on next-gen consoles.
This week’s time trial is available at LSIA and if you beat the nominal time of 01:43.40you can expect around $100,000 to be added to your in-game account. If you fail to beat the given time or beat him again after defeating him once, you will still win a handful of money for your participation.
GTA Online Free Weapon
Head to any Ammu-Nation store to claim your free Flare Gun, it’s a surprisingly useful weapon to have.
GTA Online Clothing Unlocks
The Drug Wars DLC is in full swing and if you befriend the Fooliganz you can unlock cool clothes this week:
- Glossy vinyl jacket – Unlock this by completing your first Fooliganz job.
- Vinyl Ice Cutter Jacket – Unlock this by completing your first Fooliganz job.
- Bigness black ski goggles – Unlock by completing 10 Fooliganz Jobs.
- Bigness white ski goggles – Unlock by completing 10 Fooliganz Jobs.
- LS tuxedo jacket – Unlock by completing 25 Fooliganz Jobs.
- SN Rooster Revere Collar Evening Shirt Yellow – Purchase the Acid Lab Trade Upgrade (If you already own it, you’ll automatically get this item.)
Remember, all of these goodies are only available until January 12, and then a whole new set will take their place. So if you see something you like, grab your guns, start your engines, and plunge into the mayhem of Los Santos.
