How to beat Logur the Beast Claw in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

beast, beat, claw, Elden, Erdtree, Logur, Ring, Shadow

Logur the claw of the beast is an optional boss in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. You may encounter him very early in your journey through the Shadow Realm, as he can be found just south of the starting area in Gravesite Plain, roaming the forests on the way to the Church of Consolation. As a small naked man, Logur doesn’t seem that fierce, but appearances can be deceiving, as his wild weapon Beast Claw can cause you a lot of trouble if you’re not prepared for it.

Defeating Logur will allow you to claim his titular Beast Claw, allowing you to try out one of Elden Ring’s new weapon types for Shadow of the Erdtree. So to help you defeat Logur the Beast Claw, we have its precise location below, as well as tips for exploiting its weaknesses.

How to defeat Logur the Claw of the Beast

Just in case you’re having trouble finding Logur the Beast’s Claw, here’s its precise location on the map below:

Logur may be small and overbearing, but this wild man fights like an absolute animal – the clue is in his name, after all. The Beast Claw weapon is actually a clawed glove, and many of Logur’s attacks involve slide and slice up close, as well as lunges and leaps which are designed to trap you and inflict blood loss.

Logur is also very agile and will roll, dodge, and run away if you try to hit him multiple times. If you try to absorb his Beast Claw attacks with a shield, he will quickly drain your stamina and break your stance, so it’s best to confront him head-on and dodge rather than defend.

The key to beating Logur is to literally go claw to claw with him, stay close and take single hits and strikes from him when his back is turned, or in the brief window when he has completed an attack.

His leaps in particular are pretty easy to avoid, as he spends enough time in the air that you can see where he’s going to land, allowing you to bypass them and land a few shots while he recovers.

Be careful though: Logur will heal himself when his health decreases, which you obviously don’t want (especially if your own blood loss meter is almost full). However, if you’re quick, you can interrupt this healing process simply by hitting him, which will allow you to reduce his health bar once again instead of letting him recharge it.

So, to summarize: keep dodging while he furiously strikes in the air, hit him when he’s down with well-timed single strikes. Resist the urge to deploy your shield, because you will only find yourself broken and exhausted in the end. Keep it up, and Logur’s Beast Claw will be yours in no time.

In case of defeat, you will be rewarded with 3000 runes and it is very important beast claw armed.

The Beast Claw requires 13 Strength and 11 Dexterity to use effectively, and scales with Strength (D) and Dexterity (D). His special skill is ‘Wild Claws‘, which allows you to “leap like a beast to viciously strike your enemy with left and right claws.”

Congratulations on beating Logur the Beast Claw and obtaining the Beast Claw for yourself. You are now free to continue your journey through Gravesite Plain.
