How to beat Mad Pumpkin Head in Elden Ring
The Mad Pumpkin Head is a pretty funny guy. The pumpkin head itself looks pretty weird, but there’s not really much to it other than that. In fact, you’ll be happy to know that this is one of the easiest bosses in the game.
Crazy Pumpkin Head Is Usually Right hits you with his flailand very slowly at that. Dodging then counterattacking shouldn’t be a problem. You can also block attacks with a shield, depending on how you play.
Occasionally he will add a punch with his left side fist or ram his pumpkin head into the ground when you stand in front of him, but neither attack is earth shattering.
This way, you can pick up on the boss’s behavior quite quickly, making it easier to read his telegraphed maneuvers in advance. Because of this, you should be able to handle any playstyle well. On top of that, it doesn’t take much damage to bring down the Crazy Pumpkin Head.
Your reward for defeating the crazy pumpkin head is 1100 runes, and once you defeat him, you can activate the “Waypoint Ruins Cellar” grace site. But that’s not all! You can also open a door behind this save point to meet the Witch Sellen. She sells – who would have thought? – Witchcraft.
These are Glintstone spells of different strengths, and you can return to Sellen at any time, thanks to the Site of Grace. From this point on, you can also follow Sellen’s questline.
After defeating The Mad Pumpkin Head, we recommend that you next head to Forlorn Hound Evergaol in the southern Limgrave region, near the Bridge of Sacrifice that leads to the Weeping Peninsula.
