Beat the Machinist in Fortnite will give you a plethora of gifts if you succeed. You can get their car and wreak havoc while driving around the map, take their The Mythical Machinist’s Combat Assault Rifle article, and their Medallion which regenerates your Shield over time.

The Machinist Location in Fortnite
You can find The Machinist either in a convoy Or at Redline Rig. You will know where they are by looking for their Medallion icon which will appear on the map once the match starts.
We’ve marked the location of Redline Rig on the map below:
If the Machinist is part of a convoy, he can take any route on the map, but his location will always be marked with the Medallion icon.
How to beat The Machinist in Fortnite
Remember, we’re focusing on beating The Machinist while they’re in a convoy for this guide.
Once you arrive or find the Machinist’s location while in a convoy, you will need to stay on your guard. We highly recommend getting rapid-fire weapons that work well at range or hijacking a vehicle with a weapon attached. This is what we did and it became much easier to manage the Machinist’s companions.
The machinist will lead the convoy and an equipped battle bus (war bus) will follow them with a cannon attached to the roof. Eliminate the NPC controlling the weapon on the roof of the bus first, otherwise it will eliminate you very quickly.
Also, don’t stand on the road or anywhere the bus might hit you – it will flatten you once you start attacking The Machinist.
Once that’s taken care of, turn your attention to the Machinist’s vehicle. They will have two health bars, a blue shield bar and an orange health bar. As with most bosses you’ve faced on this map, you’ll first need to destroy the blue shield bar by repeatedly shooting the vehicle.
Once the blue bar is broken, The Machinist will go Nitro and exit the car. They feature a powerful rifle that packs a punch even at range, so we recommend countering this with a rapid-fire weapon with a medium to large magazine.
Continuously shoot The Machinist to eventually break his health bar. Eventually, the bar will break to signal their defeat and you can collect your rewards! Remember, you’re not the only one looking for this boss, so watch your back, especially if you win.
