How to beat Zorba in Metaphor ReFantazio
To beat Zorba in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you need to attack them with powerful melee attacks while making sure they don’t overwhelm you with corpses. For this fight, we had the protagonist as the “seeker”, Hülkenberg as the “knight” and Strohl as the “warrior”.
Now you’ve already seen Zorba’s trick to reanimate corpses, so it won’t be surprising that it’s something they use constantly throughout the fight and you can find yourself easily overwhelmed if they call on too many . So when Zorba calls corpses to help, you need to focus all your fire or light attacks on them to hold them back.
When we fought Zorba, the protagonist and Hülkenberg focused on stopping the corpses from multiplying, while also making sure the protagonist could heal others with his “Dei” archetype skill if necessary.
Zorba seemed to take a lot of damage from Strohl’s “Slicer” archetype skill, so every time it was Strohl’s turn (if his health didn’t need to be refilled), we used that attack over and over again. still on Zorba. 12 MP may seem like a lot, but if you spread the MP cost by having other party members use their MP to attack corpses, it’s not as much as you think.
We recommend not bothering too much with magic attacks on Zorba, as the Necromancer doesn’t seem to take significant damage from them – so save them for corpses instead.
If you find your party taking heavy hits, remember that you can move their position to the backline and bring them to guard in turn – but be careful as you can give Zorba more opportunities to reanimate more corpses.
Now all you have to do is rinse and repeat this strategy: attack Zorba with powerful melee attacks like the “Slicer” and make sure to reduce the body count. If you keep this up and replenish your party’s health as needed, it won’t be long before you take out Zorba.
