How to grant Riven’s wishes in Destiny 2

For six weeks during Wishing Season in Destiny 2, Guardians will have the chance to complete a challenge left by the late wish-granting dragon known as Riven. Riven has entrusted administration to Mara Sov, and that’s where you’ll start.

Visit Mara in the HELM and she will assign you a quest called Riven’s Wishes. This will define a series of objectives to be achieved. Once done, return to Mara and she will give you a Wish Token. This token is then exchanged with Mara to unlock a reward.

One important thing to note is that the tokens are limited to one per account

All stages of the quest Riven’s Wish I

Each week, you will collect Riven’s Wish quest from Mara Sov in the HELM, presenting you with the objectives you must complete to earn a Wish Token.

For week 1, the quest steps are:

1. Complete a Rift Generator public event, located at The Strand in the Dreaming City. Also carry out various activities in the Dreaming City.
2. Return to Mara Sov in the HELM
3. Hand over your wish token to Mara for a reward.

THE Rift Generator Public Event appears in rotation with other public events in the Dreaming City. Your best bet is to check the map regularly until you see the public event symbol appear in this section.

You will need three achievements from the Rift Generator event. Completing the heroic version counts for double progression.

“Various activities” refers to Public events, blind shafts and lost sectors. The Blind Well is a good option for regular progress, around 13% per successful race. Particularly fast-paced Lost Sectors, such as the Chamber of Starlight, can be much faster, as you can simply kill the boss, open the chest, and fast travel to repeat the process.

The second set of Riven’s Wish objectives is live and starts Guardians searching for hidden Ascendant Chests. These are invisible unless you consume a Queensfoil Tincture, available from Petra Venj or as a reward from chests, Lost Sectors, public events, or bounties in the City of Dreams.

For week 2, the quest steps are:

1. Open the ascendant chests located in the city of dreams. THE Ancestry buff, activated by consuming a Queen Leaf Tincture, is necessary to access chests by revealing hidden paths. (7 chests required)
   

   

2. Return to Mara Sov in the HELM

There are 10 chests in total, of which you need to open 7 to complete this quest. They are scattered throughout the City of Dreams, often hidden at the end of paths that also require being Ascendant to find.

Riven’s Wish Rewards in Destiny 2

Once you earn a Wish Token by completing a Riven’s Wish quest, the big question becomes: “what are you spending it on?” » There are several good options.

The awards are divided into three categories. The first is Deepsight Resonant Weapons (Red Box) from the Last Wish raid. This gives you a fixed number of weapons that were previously only available via random drops in this raid. You can then mine the blueprint to progress toward unlocking the ability to craft weapons in the Enclave, allowing you to choose your ideal perks for your own divine roll.

There is also a section dedicated to many of the hardest to obtain Exotic armor. While many can drop anywhere in Destiny 2, there is one selection that is usually locked behind the Legend Lost Sector rotation. Spending your token here allows you to avoid these difficult encounters and simply collect the coins you need.

Finally, there is a miscellaneous section. Rare upgrade materials like Ascendant Shards live here. There are also two Mementos, very rare crafting materials that can be applied to crafted weapons to give some of the most interesting and unique looks in the game.
