In Fortnite, during this year’s Halloween event, you can choose to play a game that pits you against another player who also made the same choice. The trap? If you fail, you will explode, if you are caught, you will be killed…

How to start the Jigsaw challenge in Fortnite
To start the Jigsaw challenge in Fortnite, you need to find one of the many TVs scattered around the Fortnitemares map. You’ll know when you’re close to it because you’ll be able to see a little TV icon appear on your map – this shows you exactly where the TV is.
Note: You can’t start the challenge with the TV at Billy’s – that’s another thing.
So far, we have regularly found TVs in the following locations:
- The underworld
- Reels restored
- Weird fields
- Nitrodome
- Sinister door
When you have found a TV you need to approach it and interact with it, this should make Billy appear on the screen. Choose “Accept” and the Jigsaw Challenge will begin.
How to complete the Jigsaw challenge in Fortnite
To complete the Jigsaw challenge in Fortnite, you need to find and eliminate the marked opponent before time runs out or before they eliminate you. If you don’t catch up before time runs out, the Billy-inspired mask you’re wearing will explode and you’ll be dead anyway – so it’s really a matter of life and death.
After accepting the challenge, you’ll see a small timer appear on the left side of your screen – this shows you how much time you have left to find your target. There will also be a small icon showing you what your target looks like.
Additionally, if you look on your map, you should see that your target area is roughly outlined for you. This way you have a vague direction to look in, but remember that if you know where your opponent is, they will also know where you are – so stay on your guard.
Once you eliminate your opponent, you will have completed the Jigsaw Challenge. If you don’t eliminate them and they don’t find you, bye bye head!

If you manage to survive and complete Jigsaw’s challenge, prepare to receive rewards, including living beyond your interaction with the evil puppet for now…
In addition to being able to loot your opponent’s inventory, you will be rewarded with seasonal weapons: Boom Billy (usually a few of them) and one Witch’s broom. On top of that, you’ll also receive some high-tier loot items, so it’s worth taking the risk to complete this challenge – after all, you’re going to shoot yourself anyway!
