Ready Player Fun at Disney Dreamlight Valley is the third quest you get when you welcome Vanellope to your valley. The top racer is, to put it bluntly, bored and misses the thrill of racing – so it’s up to you to show them all the fun there is to do in the valley.
As with many Disney Dreamlight Valley character quests, this one really takes you on a tangent and even lets you find your competitive side at times.
Without further ado, we’re here to show you how to complete the Ready Player Fun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Start the Ready Player Fun Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To begin the Ready Player Fun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must have unlocked Vanellope and progressed your friendship level with her to level four. You must also have unlocked Nala and Mirabel and also completed the Nature and Nurture quest for Scar.
Once you’ve met the above requirements, go talk to Vanellope. You will learn that she has some problems adjusting to life in the valley, the biggest problem being that she is bored.
Follow the conversation and select the “Yeah, let’s hang out” option when it appears to begin the Ready Player Fun quest.
How to Complete the Ready Player Fun Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The first step to completing the Ready Player Fun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley is to demonstrate some of the hobbies offered in your valley to Vanellope.
Display the leisure activities of the Vanellope valley
To complete this first part of this quest, you need to show Vanellope all the fun things to do in the valley by doing the following:
- Extract any gem (x3)
- Catch any fish (x5)
- Plant any crop (x30) – We recommend cabbages or wheat, they are cheap and grow quickly. Both can be purchased from Goofy in Peaceful Meadow.
- Harvest any crop or fruit (x30) – You can wait for your planted crops to grow, or you can look for apples, blueberries, raspberries, etc.
Once you have done the above, return to Vanellope and talk to her to find out that she is far from impressed with these hobbies. NOW, she wants to play a game with you that she claims to have invented, which is Hide and Seek!
Find Vanellope’s hideout
To start Hide and seek with Vanellope, you must go to Scrooge McDuck’s store. As soon as you load into the shop, you can head back out to start looking for the mischievous runner.
Now, earlier, Vanellope gave you a clue about where she is hiding. She hides in “one of the darkest and most dangerous places” in your valley. You now have a few options, you can look for Vanellope
Alternatively, you can go straight to where she is hiding. Vanellope’s hideout in Ready Player Fun at Disney Dreamlight Valley can be found in the Vitalys mine in the sunny plateau.
Arrived at Mine Vitalys, head left and start to follow the candy trail in the Mine to find Vanellope. Once you get to the area where you have intersecting tracks like in the picture below, cross to the other side of the tracks and stop.
Here, Turn left and you should see a track that leads to a deeper part of the mine, but it’s covered in rocks and night thorns. Delete them and follow the trail until you find Vanellope.
Talk to her again and she will then want to get you out of the mine. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose the race (we won).
When you are outside the mine, talk to Vanellope one more time to find out there is one last game left to play – EXTREME FISHING!
Play extreme fishing
Once you’ve finished talking to Vanellope and agreed to play Extreme Fishing, you will have three minutes to catch three fish. The quest says you need to catch as many as you can, but you only need three to complete this task.
We recommend fishing on the sunny plateau so you don’t waste time running to another biome. We didn’t see an actual timer counting down the three minutes, and we completed the challenge pretty quickly, so we’re not worn out if there’s a time limit or if the quest just continues until you get enough fish.
Once you have caught the fish, go talk to Vanellope one more time to complete this quest.
Congratulations on completing the Ready Player Fun quest! We hope you enjoy doing more mischief with Vanellope.
