There Delphox’s Terain’s foray into Pokemon Scarlets and Purples has finally begun, giving us a chance to capture this popular Pokémon.
Generation 9 was full of surprises with all sorts of starter Pokémon like 7-star bosses and Pokémon TCG set 151. He also received new creatures through Pokémon HOME, including incredibly powerful Hisui Pokémon.
But a 7-star Teraid is not just any event, but one of the toughest fights in Pokemon scarlet and purple. And the evolution of the initial Kalos will not make our task any easier.
Delphox Terraincursion Date
Players can participate in Delphox’s Teraincursion from Pokémon Scarlet and Purple from July 7 to 9, 2023.

Delphox as Teraincursion boss in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple
to defeat the Delphox in his 7 star Teraincursionyou will first need to know the power of this Pokemon in Scarlet and Purple.
Delphox is a Fire and Psychic-type Pokémon, weak to Water, Ghost, Rock, Ground, and Dark-type attacks. However, it resists Steel, Fire, Fairy, Ice, Fighting, Grass, and Psychic types.
As the Teraincursion boss, Delphox will have the Fairy Teratype, which means his weaknesses will be Poison and Steel types.
Here are his base stats:

- Defense: 72
- Special Attack: 114
- Special Defense: 100
- Speed: 104
Regarding his movements, we know that he can use Flare, Magic Glow, Psychic, Magic Zone, Wisp and Scheming. Remember that he will still receive the STAB multiplier on Fire and Psychic type attacks, in addition to Fairy.
It will also have level 100 and a random nature.
Best counters and builds for Teraincursion
If you want to win Delphox in his 7 star Teraincursion, you’d better defend his fast special attacks. The good news is that Pokémon Scarlet and Purple have a good set of counters.
A fairly popular counter is Ceruledge, which has Fire and Ghost types. The reason is that he has a good attack and his ability absorb the fire makes him immune to Fire-type moves, while increasing his own by 50%. With Sword Dance to boost his Attack and Iron Head for a super effective hit, you’ll notice the damage the Theraid boss takes. You can add Wailing Sword to the repertoire to be sure.
Another Pokémon with the Absorb Fire ability is Houndoom, which has Fire and Dark types. His fire moves will be stronger, while his dark type gives him immunity to psychic and he only takes normal fairy type damage.
The downside is that Houndoom specializes in special attack, and Delphox’s special defense is its highest defense. But that doesn’t matter if you boost the special attack with Scheme and follow it up with Sludge Bomb for a super effective hit. Taunt and Mud Slap moves can also be used later to reduce boss accuracy if needed.
Other interesting counters can be Skuntanks there Bronzong which can take advantage of their Steel and Poison types, respectively, as well as good resistances.
Remember that in the Delphox’s Terraincursion you’ll face Magic Zone, a move that will disable the effects of equipped items for five turns. It’s a good idea not to depend on them in your strategy, to leave less to the random factor.
Finally, make sure that whatever Pokemon you use is level 100 and trained on his HP and Attack when possible. The Teratype you choose should help you resist Delphix attacks or counter its Fairy type.
