Destroy chrome structures is a new quest in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
This is a bit of a tricky challenge, as the task doesn’t specify what counts as a Chrome structure in Fortnite. Additionally, there is actually a bit of confusion in the description of the quest itself, which means many players are having trouble completing it.
Completing this challenge will reward you with 20k XP, which will help you unlock more Battle Pass skins.

How to Destroy Chrome Structures in Fortnite
Chrome structures are usually found in new Chrome locations on the map. These include, but are not limited to, Herald’s Sanctum, Lustrous Lagoon, and Shimmering Shrines.
Now the weird part, to complete this quest you will actually have to need to use Chrome Splash on buildings before breaking walls, chests and other objects around you. It’s not specified in the quest, but seems to be just bad wording in the name of the game.
You can find Chrome Splash as loot on the floor and in chests, but we recommend going to the above landmarks on the east side of the map, as these are great places to find and destroy Chrome items , which drop Chrome Splash.
Pick up as many Chrome Splashes as you can, then head to a non-chrome building. You may need to go to another location like Coney Crossroads. Head inside the building and splash everything in sight. Now break everything you can. Chests, walls, and barrels all count here.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is here and with it comes a new Battle Pass! This season introduced EvoChrome weapons, Chrome Splash slots, and the ability to pass through walls. There are also new vault locations and map changes. Paradise quests are this season’s storyline challenges, including destroying Chrome items to collect Chrome anomalies. Breaking Chrome structures not working for you?
As we mentioned earlier, the quest to destroy Chrome structures is currently worded somewhat confusingly. What he should say is destroy structures that you having chromed. If you’re having trouble, head to a multi-story building and splash as much as you can using Chrome Splash.
Once you’ve chromed everything in sight, smash the foundation of the building to bring it down. All of this should count towards the quest.
