Reboot Rally is a limited time event in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 where you must complete challenges with eligible teammates to earn points for exclusive rewards.
There are a few different steps you need to take to start earning points in Fortnite, so we’ve detailed how to do Fortnite Reboot Rally questsincluding how to rally friends.
When you reach the required number of points, you can then claim all rewardswhich include a new glider and a pickaxe.
How to do the Fortnite Reboot Rally quests
You’ll be able to work for Reboot Rally rewards in Fortnite until the end of the event on October 3 at 2 p.m. (BST), 3 p.m. (CEST) 9 a.m. (EST) and 6 a.m. (PST). Until the end, you can view all of the Reboot Rally challenges from the regular quests menu.
To earn the cosmetic rewards on offer, you will need to earn enough points. It’s important to note that you cannot complete the Reboot Rally challenges on your own (expect to rally a friend), as you can usually only earn points by playing with eligible friends.
What makes someone an eligible friend? They must be new to Chapter 3 Season 4 or have played no more than two hours of Fortnite in the 30 day period prior to September 18. You can easily identify an eligible friend by the light blue “Restart” symbol next to their name in your friends list.
If you meet these requirements yourself, you can play with any Fortnite player to earn points towards Reboot Rally rewards.
Also, you only need one eligible player on your team to earn points in Reboot Rally. So you can have three regular Fortnite players and just one returning or new player on your team, and you’ll all earn points for all four cosmetics.
There are two permanent Reboot Rally challenges that will remain until you complete them or the event ends. These Reboot Rally Challenges are:
- Gather your friends from their profile or the Reboot Rally event panel – 50 dots (Step 1)
- Complete a Battle Royale match with a friend – 10 dots (2nd step)
- Earn experience with a friend in Battle Royal, Zero Build, Team Rumble and creator-made experiences (80,000) – 50 dots (Step 1)
- Earn experience with a friend in Battle Royal, Zero Build, Team Rumble and creator-made experiences (160,000) – 5 points (2nd step)
- Earn experience with a friend in Battle Royal, Zero Build, Team Rumble and creator-made experiences (250,000) – 5 points (Step 3)
- Earn experience with a friend in Battle Royal, Zero Build, Team Rumble and creator-made experiences (300,000) – 5 points (Step 4)
- Earn experience with a friend in Battle Royal, Zero Build, Team Rumble and creator-made experiences (400,000) – 5 points (Step 5)
Then there are daily quests that refresh every 24 hours. These are the same challenges, but your progress will reset once the countdown above them hits zero.
These Reboot Rally daily quests are:
- Complete a daily quest with a friend – 10 dots
- Complete three daily quests with a friend – 20 stitches
- Complete six daily quests with a friend – 30 dots
Remember that in order to earn points by completing the challenges listed above, you must play with at least one eligible friend who is new to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 or who has not played Fortnite for more than two hours at the during the 30-day period preceding September 18. .
How to rally your friends in Fortnite for Reboot Rally
One of the quests in this event is to rally your friends from their profile or from the Reboot Rally event panel. This will reward 50 points and is one of the easiest challenges to complete to earn a large number of points quickly during the event.
To rally a friend from their profile during the Reboot Rally, simply select their profile in the friends tab of the main menu screen, then select ‘Rally ‘Em Back’. You’ll then see a QR code that you can scan to take you to a link that you can share with your selected friend. They don’t need to click the link, because you’ll automatically get the 50 points after hitting the “Rally ‘Em Back” prompt.
You can apparently rally a friend from the Reboot Rally event panel instead, but that wouldn’t work for us. All we got was the QR code and no way to press a prompt to join a friend, so we’d recommend just doing it from the friends tab in the main menu.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is almost here! Before that, make sure you get all the remaining Battle Pass rewards you want, unlock the Indiana Jones skin (give yourself plenty of time to solve the secret door outside the main chamber in the Shuffled Shrines puzzle!), and make sure you you to spend those gold bars. Meanwhile, learn to expand your character collection and learn how to earn the Victory Umbrella and Victory Crowns.
