Champions are a unique enemy type that you will find across Destiny 2is the endgame.
These enemies must be stunned with a weapon aligned to a season-specific Champion mod before they can be downed.
Defeating multiple Champions is a regular occurrence in Destiny 2’s Season Objectives and Quest Steps – tasking you with taking down a high number of them per Season.
If you’re not familiar with endgame content – or just want to get through these steps as quickly as possible – then find a champion farm is highly recommended.

How to easily farm champions in Destiny 2
Champions are hard to take down, and as such often appear sparingly in endgame content, making them difficult to farm for objectives.
Your best bet is to either play the shortest of the endgame challenges or find a spot where they spawn reliably that you can quickly revisit.
Let’s start with the latter, which is our most recommended farm. There is a champion who appears at start of the Vox Obscura mission
Vox Obscura is the final part of the Dead Messenger quest introduced as part of Season of the Risen, and is a replayable mission that you can visit as much as you want.
Not only is it fast and accessible at lower levels (the only requirement is to complete The Witch Queen campaign and then complete the first week of the Operation Elbrus seasonal quest), but it also contributes to a weekly Pinnacle drop for defeating many powerful enemies within. this mission.
Additionally, if you have already completed Vox Obscura and have access to the Master difficulty, a second champion will appear at the start of the mission to make the farm even faster.
If you do not have access to Vox Obscura, we recommend running Legend or Master Lost Sectors. These are more difficult versions of those Patrol Zone dungeons and change daily as part of an ongoing Lost Sector rotation.
Depending on the one in question, your power level, and your loadout, you can complete them in minutes, giving you access to a handful of champions in a single visit.
It is a more demanding farm, but like Vox Obscura, has a side benefit; this is good for unlocking any missing Lost Sector exclusive Exotic armor in your collection.
The season of plunder has arrived! New additions include the Sails of the Shipstealer quest, treasure coordinates and map fragments, cryptic quatrains, and weapons such as the Quicksilver Storm and Taipan 4FR. Meanwhile, there’s the arrival of King’s Fall and King’s Fall challenges such as Devious Theory and Gaze Amaze, as well as weapons such as Doom of Chelchis and Touch of Malice. Elsewhere, we saw the return of Allied Demand in Iron Banner this season. Familiarize yourself with our leveling guide before tackling the Duality dungeon and learn how to collect Calus Bobblehead locations, Calus Automaton locations, and find all Opulent Key chests. For The Witch Queen, find out how to get Exotics including Dead Messenger and Parasite.
Other Champion Locations in Destiny 2
Somewhere else, Grand Master Nightfalls can have between 15 and 25 champions to defeat, depending on location. These are probably the toughest encounters in the game, so it’s less of a farm and more of a useful byproduct of doing them.
Also, by then you’ll likely have completed all of the champion-specific challenges on the road to get enough power levels to reach the extremely high Grandmaster requirement in the first place – so it’s likely to be less useful.
If either isn’t for you, be aware that if you regularly participate in endgame content, champions spawn in most of them – in Nightfalls, Dares of Eternity, some raids and seasonal activities, such as Season of Plunder, and Suite Expeditions.
The difference is that these activities take a while to complete and/or only have one or two champions each – so it will take you a while to complete the challenges you’re hoping to complete.
Whichever way you shake it, completing Champion-specific challenges is a chore – but with the right locations, you can overcome it much easier.
