What is the Contextual Tap or Prioritization feature in Warzone 2.0?

Winning on the Warzone 2.0 battlefield requires interacting with your operator, gear, and environment in a variety of ways. In the end, there are more functions than buttons on a controller. The solution is context sensitive, different buttons will perform different functions depending on where you are looking and what you are doing. Most notably, the reload and interact functions share the same button by default.

So what happens if you need to reload your weapon and at the same time you point at an interactive object, such as a door, for example? By default, reloading is done with a single tap, while interactions can be done with a long press.

It works well, but the extra seconds it takes can mean the difference between life and death in a shootout. It’s there that Prioritize function join the game.

This allows both reloads and interactions to occur with a single tap – a feature previously known as Contextual support – as long as only one of the two options is available at a given time. If there is a conflict, you can prioritize which function remains a tap and which is temporarily relegated to a longer button.

With this option, enter vehicles, collect loot, open doors, etc. becomes much faster. Warzone 2.0 has a fast kill time, so even a few milliseconds on an action can save you when bullets start flying.

How to Enable Prioritize in Warzone 2.0

Enabling the Prioritize feature in Warzone 2.0 is simple:

  1. Open the settings menu
  2. Go to controller settings
  3. Locate the Interact/Reload Behavior option
  4. Select Prioritize Interaction or Prioritize Reload

You can change this option at any time. Both options have their place. Given the focus on combat in Warzone 2.0, Prioritizing Reloading tends to be an advantage more often.
