Find the Jaeger family basement in Fortnite is one of eight quest challenges you must complete to unlock Eren Jaeger. The quest itself gives you a specific area that the basement is in, but it doesn’t tell you exactly where it is.
Like most things in Fortnite, stalking the basement is a perilous task. There are a lot of buildings around and there are a lot of places where you could get caught out and shot down. Also, the area the quest mentions, Anvil Square, is currently a popular drop-off location, so be prepared for a fight when you get there.

How to find the Jaeger family basement in Fortnite
The Jaeger family basement is somewhere in Anvil Square (which we know from the quest requirement). However, there are quite a few buildings in this area that can make it easier for other players to ambush you and harder for you to quickly find the basement.
THE The Jaeger family basement is in a large building in the southeast section of Anvil Square. We have marked its exact location on the map below.
We found it easier to put a pin there while you’re still on the bus, it makes it easier to get to the right place.
When you get to the area shown on the map above, look for the building facing the river. It’s a little easier to track it down since it’s in the air, here’s what the building looks like as you glide through the area:
You should see a sheltered overhang on the right side of the building if you look at it from the river side. Head to this overhang, then look to your left, you should see a staircase leading down to a lower area. The door at the bottom of the stairs leads to the Jager family’s basement.
All you have to do to complete the quest is walk around the room until it registers as found.

Once you complete the quest to find the Jaeger Family Basement, you will be rewarded with the Back Bling Basement Key cosmetic.
You will also have completed one of the eight quests needed to obtain Eren Jaeger.
Find Jaeger’s Family Basement quest completion glitch in Fortnite
Many players are currently reporting that the quest will not register as completed if you have not purchased the Battle Pass. In a recent tweet, Epic Games said they are aware of the issue and are currently working on a fix.
We are aware of an issue with the quest “Find Jaeger’s Family Basement in Anvil Square” which will prevent the quest from completing if you visit Jaeger’s Basement before purchasing the Battle Pass.
