How to fish in Like a Dragon Ishin
You can start fishing in Like a Dragon Was once you reach chapter two and once you can leave Teradaya Inn. However, the The Koma River location will not be available until later in this chapter and later in chapter three.
Step One – Choose your fishing spot
There is four fishing spots in Like an Ishin Dragon. The Uji River, the Goma River, the fishing banks and the east coast. The first two are, of course, river locations and the last two are sea fishing locations.
Apart from the Goma River, which is in Mukurogai, all the fishing spots are located in Shinmachi in Fushimi, near the Teradaya Inn.
Step Two – Cast Your Line
Once you have chosen your location, you can start fishing. You start with an Easy Starter rod which is the most basic, but which allows you to catch most of the fish offered at each spot.
How far you can throw your line is marked with a red dotted line at the top of your screen. The better your rod, the further you can cast.
Instead of fishing, you should see fish-shaped or teardrop-shaped white shadows floating in the water. These are your fish (or aquatic creatures) you are looking for. Now, there are two casting methods you need to know.
Molding for a shadow in the shape of a fish
If you want catch a shadow in the shape of a fishSO cast your line just a little ahead of the one you want to catch.
Use your motion control to control where the line will land when you cast it. This is indicated by a red circle and a small arrow that appears above it on the water.
SO, use your action button to launch your output line. You’ll need to use judgment as some fish swim quickly, which means you’ll have to judge where they’re heading and cast past them.
Molding for a drop-like shadow
Cast for blob shadows is the same as casting for fish, but you need to know which way they float. SO, cast your line in the opposite direction to where the blob is floating In.
Step Three – Watch Your Float and Catch the Fish
Once you’ve cast your line, look at your float (the thing that floats in the water). There is a red line at the top of the float.
When you have caught a fish’s attention, it will turn red. Once they start nibbling on your float, Wait for that red line to hit the water. Also, your controller will vibrate when that happens.
Once that happens, press your action button to attract your fish. If you succeed, the word “Hooked” will appear on the screen and this is the indicator that you have caught your fish.
