How to get Chains of Hades in Fortnite
You can get Chains of Hades in Fortnite by finding them as loot on the groundwhere they float and wait to be found, inside the Olympian or underground vaultsOr by defeating Hades himself. The latter method is the most difficult method to obtain this item, but you are guaranteed to drop it after defeat.
It’s worth noting that so far we’ve only found Chains of Hades as floor loot in Olympian-themed parts of the map like the Underworld and Mount Olympus, but they can appear elsewhere.
How to find Hades in Fortnite
To find Hades in Fortnite you must head to the Underworld in the northwest corner of the island. Navigate to the exact location of the column icon on the Fortnite map:
Look for the column in the middle of The Underworld area and interact with the gold statue above it to “Challenge the Olympic Boss.” This will summon Hades and you will have to defeat him to remove Hades’ chains from him.
How to beat Hades in Fortnite
To beat Hades in Fortnite, you’ll need to beat his minions, then bring his substantial health bar down to zero once he joins the fight. We found that SMGs and assault rifles work best here, Hades’ minions all have rapid fire weapons and Hades’ weapon is powerful, so use rapid fire weapons work better.
If you have the Wings of Icarus, use them repeatedly.. We found that they really hurt Hades and removes a large portion of his health every time you divebomb him.
When you first summon Hades, he will raise his minions to fight you first while his throne looks on. You will have to eliminate them before they kill you.
You should be able to see a bar at the top of your screen. This tells you how close you are to facing Hades. You must continue defeating his minions until the bar is completely full. Once that happens, Hades will finally step down from his throne and join the fight.
Hades has a three-section shield bar and a three-section health bar.
You should break his shield bar before you can deal appropriate damage on him. Its main health bar will also appear at the top of your screen.
If you can help him, don’t get too close to Hades! He has an ability that allows him to come out, grab you, and start depleting your health. If you can, attack the God of the Underworld from a distance. If he manages to catch you, get away from him as quickly as possible and you will eventually break the connection.
Additionally, Hades won’t fight fair (which is no surprise) and he will call more servants to help him. Take them out as much as you can, but don’t take your eyes off Hades – he’s the target and goal here.
All you have to do is rinse and repeat until you have depleted all of Hades’ health bars to zero. Once you do, he will be defeated and drop a handful of high-tier loot, including Chains of Hades.
That’s all for the moment! Good luck against Hades and we hope you enjoy this season of Fortnite.
