The Ghost Armor Set Explained
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ghost Armor is made up of three separate pieces, a helmet, a chest piece, and leg pieces.
- Ghost helmet – Base stat of eight and increases attack.
- ghost armorr – Base stat of eight and increases attack.
- Ghost Greaves – Base stat of eight and increases attack.
Unlike other armor pieces in Tears of the Kingdom, it appears that the Phantom Armor set cannot be upgraded in a large Fairy Fountain. However, all three pieces combined will give Link a large armor stat of 24 and greatly increase his attack power.
Luckily, all three coins are in the southern half of Hyrule, meaning you’ll only have to do a bit of light travel to get them all.
How to get the Phantom Greaves in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To find the Phantom Greaves in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to find the Ancient Ruins of the Altar in the Gerudo Desert. Fast travel to Siwakama Shrine if you have it, otherwise here are the coordinates of Siwakama Shrine (-2445, -3342, 0041).
Before you get there, make sure you have some heat resistant armor or at least a meal or two that increases Link’s heat resistance. It is very hot in this region during the day.
When you get to the shrine, look into the Gerudo Desert and you should see a bunch of holes in the ground. These are quicksand holes that will suck Link below into the ruins of the ancient altar, but there’s a specific sinkhole you need to go to.
Once you get to the sinkhole, you need to head to the hole at (-2525, -3703, 0010). We’ve also highlighted the right circle on the map below:
When you arrive at the good pit, dive into it and let it swallow Link. You will then spawn in a small room with sand dripping from the ceiling.
Once in this room, look around and you should see the chest is on a slightly raised ledge. All you have to do is climb up there and open the chest to collect the Phantom Greaves.
How to get the ghost helmet in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The Ghost Helmet from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is in a cave on Puffer Beach south of Faron. To find the piece of helmet, head to Puffer Beach. You can quickly go to Utushok Shrine near Highland Stable to get closer if you want, we’ve also marked Puffer Beach’s location on the map below:
Once you get to Puffer Beach, head to these coordinates (0286, -3849, 0004) and look up. You should see there is an opening in the rock above you leading to a raised cave.
To get up here, you can grab one of the Zonai Rockets dropped against some rocks at (0259, -3875, 0001). Fuse one of the rockets to your shield and return to the raised cave entrance.
Equip your shield and mount it in the cave. Once you land here, there will be a Black Horriblin and a Horrblin waiting for you. We recommend removing them as they can be a pain when trying to open the chest.
After dealing with the Horriblings, head through the small opening at the back of the cave that leads to another room in the cave and look to the right. You should see a chest here. Open the chest to retrieve the Ghost Helmet.
How to Get Ghost Armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Now, we’ve left the Phantom Armor chest piece for last as it’s the hardest of the three pieces to find. To find the Ghost Armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to head to the tip of the Tamio River. It is east of the Ruvara Cliffs, southwest of Lake Rutile and northeast of the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower.
We’ve marked the location of the Tamio River Point on the map below:
Head to the point of the river and when you get there, look for the cave entrance down the Tamio River. The coordinates of the cave entrance below the Tamio River are (-2912, -0795, 0010).
Before heading to the cave, we recommend that you activate all the sages you have so far. If you don’t have one, we strongly advise you to investigate at least two regional phenomena first. However, it is possible to walk through this cave alone with plenty of supplies, meals, elixirs, and arrows.
When you’re ready, head to the cave below the Tamio River. In the first room, a few Horriblins are crawling around the ceiling but you can completely ignore them if you want. Continue through the cave making sure to stay on the left side.
Follow the path on the left side of this cave until you come to the start of the next room. You should see the location of the chest in front of you, but don’t let yourself down. There are dark hands below you, and they make it very difficult to get to the chest.
You can try to avoid Gloom Hands, but we found it (surprisingly) easier to learn how to beat Gloom Hands and then beat Phantom Ganon that spawns after that. Once you’ve managed to do that, follow the floor path to the other side of the cave behind the chest location.
Here you should see a wall blocked by rocks.
Destroy the rocks using a hammer or Sage’s ability, then climb the newly revealed ramp to grab the Ghost Armor from the chest at the top.
You now have the full Ghost Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, congratulations! Now you can make Link even more intimidating by learning how to find Ganon’s giant horse. Alternatively, if you want to hunt down a different armor set, you can always learn how to find the Zora armor as well.
