How to get started with Ashmon's favorite Pokmon over Bulbasaur, Charmander or squirtle.
When you start your journey in Pokmon Go, after creating a Trainer by setting a username – don't worry, you can change the name and appearance later – Professor Willow will give you one of the three Pokemon to choose from.
The three starters are Bulbasaur, Charmander or squirtle – which l ong-time players will find to be similar to those given to players by Professor Oak's first entries of Pokmon Red and Blue.
However, when it comes to fans of Pokmon Yellow and the TV show, it is possible to have Pikachu as the first star Pokmon in Pokmon Go instead.
While it's not the only way to get Pikachu in the game – it's available in the wild in many places, and from exploited eggs – it's a good secret for those who want to put on an electric mouse right away, especially if you want to see one of the game's Easter eggs as part of Buddy's game plan.
How to get Pikachu as your starter in Pokmon Go
If you start a game, and you're given one of the three traditional starters, don't forgive them. Instead, you simply ignore the three, and go for them to appear more on the map. (This means you'll have to start playing the game outdoors, without the inside – so hopefully you'll get your shoes on!)
In the end, if you are far enough away, these first ones will appear again in front of you and bid to get your attention. Again, stay out of the way until you appear again.
Do this enough times – three or four attempts to make – and when the three starts next, the third team will be joined by the fourth – Pikachu – ready to capture.

How to find Pikachu and other startups in the wild
Whatever Pokmon you choose at the beginning, you'll be able to find other starters – and more of your starter of choice – by finding them near the wild. While each startup is a rare Pokmon, since their origin is ultimately among the best Pokemon in Pokemon Go, it's worth the effort. Pikachu in particular is well worth hunting down, especially as it has its Pokmon Go medal.
The plan is to find that they are different from other types of creatures. Make sure you follow the rules of how to find and track the nearest Pokmon to increase your chances of success. They are also available for binding one of the 2 Go, 2km and 10km Pokemon Go eggs, so keep up with those Incubators that work, as well as in the Pokmon parks – although this involves staying in the right place.
Finally, once you have caught enough of your preferred star type, you can start appearing in their proven coverage – and hopefully you will have that Charizard price right away.
