How to use sticky frogs in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Sticky Frogs in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be cooked with any monster part (Bokoblin Horn, Lizalfos Horn, etc.) to create a sticky elixir that strengthens Link’s grip on slippery surfaces.
This specific elixir can be useful when exploring places such as Ploymus Mountain Cave, Lanayru Wetlands, and other places with climbing surfaces that can become slippery in wet weather. The Elixir doesn’t completely eliminate Link’s risk of slipping – we’ve found that a Sticky Elixir is most effective when you take your time climbing and aren’t trying to jump up or down a section.
Where to find sticky frogs in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Sticky frogs are frequently found in and around Lanayru Great Springs and West Necluda, but those are two large areas to search for, so we’ve explored to find the best places to grow sticky frogs.
So far, we’ve found the following places to be the best places to find Sticky Frogs across Hyrule:
- Zorana Skyview Tower from the Highlands (2841, 0580, 0376) – We constantly found sticky frogs on the rocks near the entrance to this Skyview tower.
- West entrance to Kakariko Village (1751, -1100, 0127) – We found several sticky frogs along the walls leading to Kakariko Village at this entrance.
- East entrance to Kakariko Village (1962, -1070, 0131) – Again, we found quite a few sticky frogs along the walls of the path leading to the eastern entrance of Kakariko Village.
- Peripheral stable well (-1459, -1295, 0033) – This specific well contains some sticky frogs and some fairies too.
- Well at Goponga Village Ruins (Lanayru Wetlands) (1530, -0327, 0011) – There are some sticky frogs that can be found here too.
Now when you find a frog, your next job is to catch it. Like any creature in Hyrule, Sticky Frogs can be spooked when you approach them and dash around. To avoid this, try to be stealthy (you can drink an elixir or wear the Yiga armor to help you) or extremely fast (a Hasty Elixir will help you here.)
However, if none of these suit you, you can always shoot the unsuspecting frog with an arrow to knock it to the ground where you can just pick it up.
