To get the Gongaga Chocobo in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you you must follow the main story quests until you return from the Gongaga reactor. This is quite a long story to go through, but once you complete it, you will automatically receive the Gongaga Chocobo Fango.
Your Gongaga Chocobo can use mushrooms to launch itself high into the air and vast distances. They can also ride over tree roots and fallen trees as if they were rails, two very handy abilities for navigating the terrain of Gongaga’s jungle.
