THE Ring is one of the relics the Collector asks you to find in Pickup. If you really follow his instructions, you’ll search for the Ring Relic after you find the Music Box.
However, to reach the Ring Relic, you’ll first need to unlock the Abyssal and Hadal Fishing Catch in Dredge, which involves visiting the Old Fortress Finder Assistant.
You’ll also want to do something about that sea monster lurking at the bottom of Stellar Basin if you want. get the ring relic in dredge. He looks hungry…

Dredge Ring Relic Location: Where To Find The Ring Relic
The Ring Relic is located in the middle of the Stellar Basin, which itself is located southwest of Greater Marrow in Dredge.
You might be tempted to navigate to the Ring dredge site when you first arrive at Stellar Basin because on the surface it seems very easy to reach. Beneath the surface, however, is a sea monster that will happily use its tentacles to destroy your fish.
Instead, you need to unlock the Abyssal and Hadal fishing catches first before you can even consider picking up the Ring of the Deep.
How to Reach the Ring Relic Dredge Site in Dredge
To reach the Ring Relic dredging point in Dredge, you need to take the Repulsion Machine that research at the Old Fortress gives you after unlocking the Abyssal Fishing at the research outpost.
The Repulsion Machine will take up four spaces in your cargo and is laid out in a square shape, so make sure you have enough room for it.
Once the machine is stored in your cargo, return to the research outpost. When you are there, select the generator and you will be asked to connect the repulsion machine to it. After that, the repulsion machine will be permanently connected to the generator and you can use it to scare away the monster at the bottom of the star pool.
It is important to remember that the The repulsion machine only works for a limited time. This means that the sea monster will eventually return, so keep an eye on the clock and the waters below you to avoid becoming fish food.
You will also receive a Research Coin by connecting the Repulsion Machine to the Generator. If you haven’t already, use this research part to unlock the bottomless rows in the Research section.
The Bottomless Lines allow you to catch Hadal fish and since the Ring is in a Hadal dredge spot, you can’t retrieve it without this rod or another that allows you to catch Hadal fish.
If you have three spare finder pieces, you can also unlock the bottomless winch that can catch abyssal, hadal, and ocean fish.
Either way, now you’ll want to visit the Traveling Merchant at the Starlight Pontoon and purchase the rod of your choice. We brought the Bottomless Lines, which cost $450 and take up four squares of L-shaped rod in your cargo. Don’t forget to install before you go!
You can make your journey to the Starlight Pontoon easier by activating the generator and scaring the monster away. However, we recommend returning to the research outpost and reactivating the generator to ensure you have the maximum period without sea monsters when dredging for the ring.
With the generator activated, you can safely navigate the middle of Steller Basin and dredge for the ring. The dredge point you are looking for is in the middle of the star basin and emits red dots.
The ring will take up four square-shaped spaces in your cargo. It will also be called the Jewel Encrusted Band.
Now that you have the relic of the Ring, it’s time to return it to the Collector! Although you might also want to take the time to catch some of the abyssal and hadal fish sought after by searching at the Old Fortress; you can catch snail and anglerfish here.
As of this writing, we don’t know if the abilities the Collector gives you are tied to a specific relic or the number of relics you’ve given them. Giving him the Ring unlocked the Banishment ability for us.
Banish has the ability to defend you against dark powers that attempt to increase your panic level at night. However, it only lasts for a limited period of time, and once the red light goes away, you’ll have to wait for its cooldown to finish before you can use it again.
Good luck finding the relic of the Ring!
