How to get Wish-Keeper in Destiny 2
Wish-Keeper is truly focused on Starcrossed Exotic Mission. This challenging foray into the Black Garden rewards Wish-Keeper upon first completion and requires additional runs if you want to unlock the various Wish-Keeper catalysts.
To access Starcrossed, you will need to participate in the Weekly mission I wish everyone the best. Our comprehensive guide can take you step by step. For the purposes of Wish-Keeper, you’ll want to progress to Week 4. After a conversation in the HELM, you’ll be sent on a mission called “Apophasis.” Success will be followed by a quick conversation with Crow, then you will have access to Starcrossed.
Starcrossed is aimed at higher level players and can be a bit of a challenge, especially in solo play. Once you complete it, you will receive Wish-Keeper. This bow can be craftedso if you want another one or want to customize it in the future, you can do so at the Enclave.
How to Unlock All Wish-Keeper Catalysts
There is four selectable catalysts
Each catalyst follows the same format. The quest will give you a destination somewhere in the solar system. When you go to this place, there will be a skylights aiming towards the sky. You will have to interact with him to reveal a message.
A new ray of light will point towards a “star” in the sky. Shoot it with Wish-Keeper and more will appear. Keep hitting them one by one and one the constellation will eventually form.
This will leave an inscription on the ground that you can collect. Finally, you will have to Complete Starcrossed on Legend difficulty to complete the mission and collect the catalyst.
Constellation: Tower
The first Wish-Keeper Catalyst grants the Sustainable Trap Redesignwhich allows traps set by Wish-Keeper to last longer.
To find this constellation, you will need to enter Starcrossed on Legend difficulty. As soon as you exit the caves into an open area, look ahead and to the right to find a large island with a waterfall. Use the small island and the path that starts counterclockwise around the large island to reach the top, where you will find the hidden message to reveal the constellation.
Constellation: Lockdown
The second catalyst is Refitting the multi-threaded snare drum. This modifies Wish-Keeper’s trap trap to engage more enemies.
For this constellation, you will need to visit the City of Dreams and pass through the northwest passages to the Thorn of Keres. As you approach the large Awakened structure, turn left and follow the path around the outside of the area. Eventually, the beam of light will be visible on one of the tree-covered land masses on the left side of the path. Jump to find the spot to reveal the constellation.
Constellation: Pair
The next step is the Vorpal Weapon Refit catalyst. As you might expect, this applies the Vorpal Weapon perk to Wish-Ender, applying a damage buff against bosses and Guardians using their Supers.
This constellation will send you back to the Legend version of Starcrossed. Walk forward normally until you reach an area called The Roost. Here you will need to complete an encounter leading to a boss fight. After that, a portal will open.
Enter and complete the claustrophobic jumping puzzle. Once you emerge into the open, continue moving forward until you see one of the pools of red light that grants Dam’s Gift. You won’t need to retrieve it, instead turn around to your left.
Nestled next to the walls will be an opening. Go inside to find the beam of light.
Constellation: Wish
The last catalyst is Rehabilitation of newborns. This causes precision final blows or rapid final blows with non-precision weapons to spawn Threadlings at the target’s location, which then seek out and deal additional damage to enemies.
You will have to head to the Dreaming City again. This time you will continue straight from the spawn point, stay in the cave system on the right. Once you arrive at The Strand, turn sharply right and continue until you reach Esila Gardens. Move forward through all the enemies until you see this large balcony.
Stand at the edge of this bridge, looking toward an empty space, and you should see the ray of light peeking out from behind a rocky hill.
Wish-Keeper God Scroll Recommendation
So you’ve dedicated your time to unlocking Wish-Keeper and all the options, but what should you use? The best version, or “god roll”, will have advantages centered around rate of fire, which directly translates to how quickly you can deal damage. Which catalyst to use will depend a bit on your personal taste and build, but there is one that should work well for almost everyone.
Here is our recommended The Wish-Keeper god rolls in Destiny 2:
- Elastic Rope
- Compact boom shaft
- Soft grip
- Rehabilitation of newborns
Elastic Rope Significantly reduces the time required to draw the bow. This means you can shoot arrows and maximize damage sooner, and by extension shoot more arrows in a short time. This directly increases the amount of damage you can deal over a period of time.
Compact boom shaft improves the handling of a bow, making it easier to line up shots and applies a buff to reload speed. The former really contributes to the feel of Wish-Keeper, while the latter is a subtle, but useful, boost.
Soft grip the goal is to make this bow easy to shoot. Improved handling and stability makes it easier to line up your shots. This is important with any weapon, even more so with a bow that has an exotic perk built specifically around precision hits.
Any option is good here, but the Rehabilitation of newborns is so handy on the toughest difficulties. Precision finishing blows (which as noted above are important for this arc) will spawn Threadlings, small sentient support coils that seek out and damage enemies. This is great for clearing adds, and also handy for dealing damage to a tough enemy while keeping your head down behind cover.
