To progress in the lost runes quest in Diablo Immortal and continue the story, you will have to solve the lamp puzzle first.
Until Zoltun Kulle’s library, most story challenges and battle passes centered around “go here, kill that thing,” as Diablo quests like to do.
It won’t work on poor lamps, however, you can find out below how to light the nine lamps and solve the mirror puzzle during the Lost Runes quest in Diablo Immortal.

How to light all nine lamps during Lost Runes in Diablo Immortal
When you reach the statue with the curator in the Restoring Order quest in Zoltun Kulle’s library, the Lost Runes quest will begin. To complete it, you will need to find three runes and place them at the base of this statue.
The first of these runes is located just northwest of the Grand Vestibule waypoint. When you try to retrieve it, however, you have a puzzle to solve instead. To solve the puzzle, you need to know how to light all nine lamps.
It doesn’t seem difficult, but when you turn on a lamp, four fireballs shoot out next to it, turning on nearby lamps if they’re off or turning them off if they’re on. Try turning them on in the wrong order and you’ll be stuck in a loop for a while.
To light all nine lamps and get the first lost rune, you must light up the four corners, then the lamp in the middle.
However, this only works if you start with all lights off. If you still have any lamps on, return to the nearby Rune and touch it to turn them all off again. Then you can light up the four corners and then the middle lamp to unlock the first Lost Rune.
Take the Rune back to the curator and place it under the statue to move on to collecting the second Rune.
How to Solve the Mirror Puzzle During Lost Runes in Diablo Immortal
After solving the lamp puzzle and flipping the Rune, you just need to take a few steps to find the second one. The “Go here, kill that thing” challenge returns, as you only need to kill Blazing Soul Grimaldi to collect the second Rune.
For the final rune, follow the map to a suspicious mirror found east of the curator. Once you go through it, you’ll find yourself in a small room with lots of mirrors and a beam of light. After trying to take the Rune from the top of the room, you will receive the message that you need to solve a riddle.
Mirror Puzzle first step
For the first step of the mirror puzzle, go to the mirror directly under the Rune (not the one the beam of light hits), and push it once. The beam of light should now hit this mirror.

Then head to the mirror on the far left of the room and push it twice. The beam of light should now also hit this mirror.

For the third and final step of the mirror puzzle, head to the mirror that was next to the one you just moved and push it twice to the left. Kill the enemies that appear then go to the third rune and pick it up.
To complete the Lost Runes quest, return to the statue next to the curator and insert the final rune into its base. You can now continue exploring Zoltun Kulle’s library and progress through the story.
