The boring Gas mask in Warzone has been changed so that you don’t automatically have to equip it and go through the animation every time you pick one up.

This means you can either equip it immediately or store it in the backpack for later. However, it’s not immediately clear how to dispose of the mask once it’s equipped, so we quickly went over it. how to remove gas mask in Warzone below.

When you come across a gas mask in Warzone, you can either equip it immediately or store it in your backpack for later. If you choose to put it away, you can equip the gas mask later by going to your backpack’s inventory (bottom on the controllers’ D-pad) and then manually selecting it.

Keep in mind that if you choose to put on the gas mask when you find it, the animation will still play.

Once equipped, you must go to your loadout inventory to remove the gas mask in Warzone. This is done by double-tapping the D-pad if you’re playing on a controller. At the time of writing, there is no dedicated gas mask button to use as an alternative to equipping or removing the gas mask.

Fortunately, gas masks and armor plates are first on the list when added to the backpack or cargo bars, so you can access them quickly when needed. In our experience, it only takes a second or two to equip or store a gas mask.

You might just want to keep the gas mask, as it now has a clearer field of vision and the cracked state isn’t as intense when it’s almost broken. Luckily, the heavy breathing sound effect now only occurs when you’re in the gas, so you don’t need to listen to your operator huffing and whistling as often.

Hope you enjoy the new Warzone update!
