Location of the cursed statue in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The cursed statue is located at start of Royal Hidden Passage at Lookout Landing emergency shelter (-0236, 0157, 0004).
This statue is also referred to as the “dark” statue or the “demon” statue, as it is considered the complete opposite of the “light” goddess statues found throughout Hyrule.
First you need to get the Paraglider and use the Skyview Tower at Lookout Landing, then talk to Scorpis to open the Emergency Shelter.
Then you have to wait long enough for the red side quest icon to appear above Jerrin in the shelter. Talk to him and follow the “Who’s going there?” quest marker to find the cursed statue inside the small hole next to Jerrin and start the quest “A Deal with the Statue”. Make sure you have some bombs or a hammer weapon to smash the stones in the way.
You may be able to find the cursed statue before you get Jerrin’s side quest if you enter the Royal Hidden Passage from the observation room in Hyrule Castle, then walk through it to the entrance to the castle. emergency shelter. It doesn’t take too long for Jerrin to initiate the “Who’s going there?” quest though, so we recommend waiting for it to appear unless you want to go on a quest for diamonds.
How to respect the cursed statue in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Once you’ve found the cursed statue, you can now respec in Tears of the Kingdom by trading Link’s Hearts for Stamina, or vice versa.
To start the respec process, talk to the cursed statue and sell the upgrade you no longer want. You will get 100 rupees for each heart container or stamina ship you sell to the statue.
You can now talk to the cursed statue again and request the return of this essence, but you can choose another upgrade. It costs 120 rupees to do so, so the price for each exchange of heart and stamina is only 20 rupees
For example, if you want more stamina, you must first exchange a heart container at the cursed statue to get 100 rupees. Then you can talk to the statue again and spend 120 rupees to turn this heart essence into an endurance ship. There is no limit to the number of times you can do this, as long as you have enough Rupees, Hearts, and Stamina to do so.
There’s also nothing stopping you from simply swapping out your heart or stamina and pocketing the 100 rupees if you wish. This is a good way to get money quickly in TOTK if you need to buy something for a quest or for exploration purposes. You can then come back later when you have more rubies to recover your heart or stamina.
