How to slip a kick in Fortnite

You might know how to slide in Fortnite, but what about slide kicks? Well, it turns out it’s basically the same thing, but to swipe a kick in Fortnite, you have to hit something with your body while sliding.

So first you’re going to need to have a full sprint counter – or enough to get you the distance you need – then you should sprint, hit the crouch button to slide, then hit something while you slide to slide the kick.

The only problem with sliding kicks is that it doesn’t do much damage, which can make some challenges difficult to complete.

How to dislodge a runaway boulder with a sliding kick in Fortnite

Since slide kicks don’t do much damage, what you need to do to dislodge a runaway rock with a slide kick in Fortnite is to damage the rock first.

However, just beware that the boulder doesn’t have much health, so only hit it twice with your pickaxe. If you hit it harder, you risk dislodging it without first sliding it out.

Once you’ve reduced the health of the boulders with two swings of your pickaxe, back up until you’ve put some distance between you and the boulder. All you need to do now to dislodge the boldest on the run is sprint, slide, then smack the rock to make it slide.

Since slide kicks don’t do much damage, you’ll probably have to hit the boulder a few times before it dislodges.

Specifically, marked in blue, here are the exact areas of the errant block locations shown above:

1 – Rave Cave, at the top of the western hill

2 – On a snowy hill east of a patch of grass, northwest of Logjam Junction

3 – East of Rave Cave, at the top of the biggest hill

4 – South of Tilted Towers, on a hill near a zipline
