How to Unlock Stagnant Shadows in Honkai Star Rail
Unfortunately you wait a bit, because Stagnant Shadows only unlocks in Honkai: Star Rail after Reach Trailblazer Rank 30 and Participate in the Trial of Balance: Part 2increasing your balance level to 3.
After defeating the last enemy in the Balance Trial, you’ll automatically unlock all available Stagnant Shadows, so you’ll need to do something else after the trial.
You can increase your Pioneer Level to 30 by continuing to complete quests, opening chests, farming resources in places like Chalices and the Cavern of Corrosions, and exploring the Simulated Universe.
Although we don’t recommend it, if you’re really in a rush, you can consume fuel to recharge your Trailblaze Power to take on more areas like Calyxes so you can farm Trailblazer EXP faster. It’s one of the rarest resources, so we recommend saving it for when you really need it!
We can help you on your first Astral Express journey with our Redemption Codes, How to Withdraw, How to Use Findie, Stagnant Shadow Explainer and Seele Build Pages. For side quests, we also have puzzle solutions for ‘Sentient Beings’, ‘Vessel of Mediocrity’ and ‘Night on the Great Mine’. Elsewhere, you can get more information on the next banner, as well as the current 1.0 banner and calendar of events.
Honkai Star Rail Stagnant Shadows Explained
Stagnant Shadows are another type of challenge housed in your “Survival Index”, like Chalices or Echoes of War. When you defeat enemies in Stagnant Shadow challenges, you get character ascension materials. The material you get depends on the shadow you choose to fight.
Each stagnant shadow has different types of enemies to fight, so you’ll need to change your party composition before tackling each one if you want to take them out as quickly as possible.
There are also different tiers of enemies you can face for each individual stagnant shadow. They will be more difficult, so you have to be more careful about the characters you bring, but you get more resources to face higher level shadows.
Finally, remember you can use auto battle and double speed toggles to get rid of stagnant shadows fasterbut if you choose to challenge him at a higher level, it will take your characters much longer to complete a battle, or they might even all be knocked down and you won’t receive any resources.
