You have to use Findie in Honkai Star Rail for the first time to search mine cart parts locations during the pioneer mission “Those who fell into the abyss” on Jarilo-VI.
We recommend turning the sound down for this bit, as the annoying little gadget will beep until you complete the task, which can be a bit tricky to complete if it’s your first time using Findie.

How to Use Findie in Honkai Star Rail
When Findie is needed during a story section, you will automatically equip it and the Findie symbol will appear in the lower right corner of the screen. Press ‘R’ on PC or tap the symbol on mobile to deploy the gadget.
When you deploy Findie, it will point in a direction with a green or red light. Red means the object you are looking for is far away and green means it is near. If there is no light coming from Findie, then the object is too far from where you deployed it.
However, just because Findie points in a direction doesn’t mean you’ll find the object you’re looking for by just following the light. You have to keep using Findie until you deploy it right next to the item’s location. The object you are looking for then appears and you can retrieve it.
You can only deploy Findie up to seven times to locate each object in your mission or puzzle. If you can’t find the item in all seven Findie deployments, all of your previous Findies will disappear, but you can try again with seven more.

Honkai Star Rail Mine Cart Parts Locations
There are two mine cart parts that you need to locate as Findie during the Trailblazer mission “Ones Fallen Into the Abyss” so that you can continue your journey into the underground region of the Great Mine.
Here is where to find mine cart parts to Honkai: Star Rail:
Mine cart part location 1
The first part of the mining cart is located near the edge of the northern cliff, to the left of a chest.
Mine cart part location 2
Head up the western path and use Findie near the Geomarrow and barrels found to the left of the Chalice to locate the other part of the mining cart.
When you’ve found the two mine cart parts, take them back to the cart and fix it, then push the cart forward.
You can now continue deeper into the Great Mine.
