We've been out for less than a month, yet it looks like Call of Duty: Warzone is already having a cheat issue – especially on PC. A quick look through the Modern Warfare subreddit will bring many examples of wall cracks and aimbots. It is urging other console players to get out of playing gaming completely out of fear of being cheated by cheaters on the PC genre. Just look at the conclusion of one game from the perspective of a hacker, or someone showing their Warzone hacks at TikTok.

The speed at which these hacks originated is likely because Warzone is attached to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – a game that came out in October last year, giving suspicious characters plenty of time to develop the hacks. But yesterday morning Infinity Ward revealed some plans to resolve the problem in the Warzone, saying it had a zero-tolerance policy for fraudsters, and had worked hard to punish them.
"We have been emphasizing account closures since the first day of the Warzone release," explained the blog post. "So far, (we have issued) over 50k visas worldwide."
Bearing that in mind, as of March 20, Warzone was a 30m player base – though that number may have gone up. Existing cheat measures include 24/7 security teams to monitor behavior, such as identifying "aimbots, wallhacks and more", as well as an automated report system that filters entries "based on important data".
Infinity Ward recognizes that there is still much work to be done to improve the situation: the current reporting system (which requires players to access the latest player tab of the main menu) is set to be redesigned to make the options more accessible. To keep players informed of progress, Infinity Ward will provide a "standard calculation" for the latest block value.
"Simply put there is no place for cheating. We realize that there is no one solution against cheaters, it's just daily practice, 24/7. Rest assured, we are committed to ensuring a fun and relevant experience for everyone."
Let's hope the infinity Ward weeds out most of the chefs. Or it removes my simple excuses for getting a shot.
