Kabuto 100% Perfect IV Stats, Shiny Kabuto in Pokemon Go

Kabuto, perfect, Pokémon, shiny, stats

This week Spotlight hour features the Pokémon Shellfish. Well, looking at it, it has a few seashells in it, but in this case we’re specifically talking about how it’s the perfect time to grab a fort Kabuto In Pokemon Go.

Kabuto is a fan-favorite Pokémon, being one of the two original fossil Pokémon found in Kanto at the very beginning of the franchise. In Pokémon Go, its Kabutops evolution is an interesting choice as a Water/Rock type, though its current moveset keeps it at the bottom of a pretty rare type bracket.

Still, all Pokemon are only a move update or two away from being meta relevant, so if you fancy catching some really cool Pokemon for PVP, this event is for you!

This week’s Spotlight Hour also comes with a triple catch XP bonus – the first ever seen in a Spotlight Hour and something usually reserved for Community Day – so if you’re looking to rack up some XP fast, crack a lucky egg and get good at some great Curveball throws!

Kabuto 100% Perfect IV Stats in Pokémon Go

This week’s Spotlight Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Kabuto with perfect IV stats.

Kabuto.

“Perfect” means two things in Pokémon Go, depending on how you plan to use a given Pokémon. First, there’s the 100% Max IV build, which is the 15/15/15 you’re after for your 4* Pokédex, Raids, and Master League. Yet, due to the way CP is calculated using three stats, a perfect Pokémon IV is usually just the best version of itself in the Master League.

Of course, you can’t see a Pokemon’s IV without catching it first, but with a little research beforehand, you can quickly spot a perfect Kabuto based on CP alone.

If you’re at level 30 (or above), you’ll ideally be looking for the following PCs for a perfect Kabuto 15/15/15:

  • Level 30 (max wild CP) – 1175 CP
  • Level 35 (max wild CP boosted by weather conditions) – 1273 CP
  • The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above that level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of it. of simplicity. These values will however be different if you are currently below level 30.

The Season of Hidden Gems has arrived, bringing with it a new season of Go Battle League. The Solstice Horizons event is currently underway, bringing with it the Starry Skies quest. Elsewhere, be sure to participate in Shadow Raids, use Daily Adventure Incense for the chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also allow you to encounter other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

    Is Kabutops good in PVP?

No, at least not yet. Kabutops is in a weird place in the meta – as a Rock/Water-type, it’s only weak to Grass (double weak), Electric, Fighting, and Ground. But, thanks to the way the meta formed, his resistance to fire, poison, normal, ice, and flying doesn’t really get a chance to shine in Go Battle League. On top of that, his generally poor volume doesn’t seem likely to leave him in a good position, should he receive a move update that massively increases his attack.

    Finally.

In progress Mud Shot, Stone Edge, and Ancient Power, we learn quite heavily in Rock and completely ignore water. Mud Shot functions as a fast charging quick move, but deals low damage without STAB. This means you reply entirely on Stone Edge as nuke and Ancient Power as spam. Overall, it’s a pretty inflexible Pokemon with mediocre stats.

Starting with Great League, we have good matchups against Froslass, Alolan Ninetails, Drapion, Walrein, and Pelipper, but bad matchups against Galarian Stunfisk, Noctowl, Lanturn, Trevenant, and Sableye – all of which are heavy in the meta.

In Ultra League, Kabutops works slightly better as an Anti-Flying tech. You can expect wins against Talonflame, Alolan Ninetails, Pidgeot, and both regular Shadow and Charizard. However, you lost to Swampert, Giratina, Walrein, Tapu Fini, and Trevenant.

Master League is a brutal place for Kabutops. It will beat most fire types, but lose just about anything meta relevant

Is there a Shiny Kabuto in Pokémon Go?

Yes, as a Kantonian, there has been a brilliant Kabuto for many years! Shiny Kabuto was released in May 2018 as part of Adventure Week 2018!

Everything in the Kabuto evolution range is Rock/Water type. (Image via pokemon.com)

What does the brilliant Kabuto look like?

As you can see below, Shiny Kabuto is a bit green. It almost looks like it’s been standing in the same spot, out of the water, a little too long, but rather than being a deep mossy color it’s that weird lime green you often see with the brilliant Kantonians.

Shiny Kabutops follows suit with the lime green vibe. With this coloring, it almost looks like he’s trying to cosplay Scyther.
