Honkai Star Rail Black Swan Kit
The Black Swan is a 5-star Wind character from The Nihility path which seems best for applying DOT (damage over time) effects, while reducing enemies’ defense and increasing the damage they take.
All percentages mentioned below are based on level 1 traces.
Keeping in mind that this is beta information leaked by Project Yatta that could change upon its official release, here is a summary of Black Swan Kit in Honkai Star Rail:
- Element: Wind.
- Path: Nihility.
- Rarity: 5 stars.
- Basic attack: Percipience, Silent Dawn (deals wind damage equal to 30% of Black Swan’s attack to a single enemy, with a base 50% chance to inflict a Sacrament charge on the attacked enemy. If the hit enemy also has Wind Shear, Bleed, Burn or Shock applied to them, each of these DOTs will have a base 50% chance of additionally applying a stack of Sacrament to the target enemy).
- Skill: Decay, False Twilight (Deals Wind damage equal to 45% of Black Swan’s attack to a single enemy and all adjacent targets, with a base chance of 100% to deal a stack of Sacrament to enemies attacked and a base chance of 100% to reduce the Defense of attacked enemies by 14.8%, for three turns).
- Ultimate: Bliss of Otherworld’s Embrace (Deals wind damage equal to 72% of Black Swan’s attack to all enemies, and inflicts Epiphany on them for two turns. Enemies affected by Epiphany take 15% more damage in turn, and their Sacrament effect is considered Windshear, Bleed, Burn, and Shock Effects. Additionally, when their Sacrament effect is triggered at the start of the next turn, Sacrament stacks are not reset. This stack reservation effect can be triggered up to once during the duration of Epiphany. and its charges are replenished when Epiphany is applied again).
- Talent (passive ability): Loom of Fate’s Caprice (Whenever an enemy target receives a DOT at the start of their turn, there is a base 50% chance that the enemy will receive Sacrament. When afflicted with Sacrament, enemy targets receive a Wind DOT equal to 96% of Black Swan’s attack. Each stack of Sacrament increases this damage multiplier by 4.8%, then Sacrament is reset to one stack. Sacrament can stack up to 99 times. Black Swan triggers additional effects based on the number of Sacrament stacks dealt to the target, but only when Sacrament deals damage at the start of an enemy target’s turn. Additional effects deal a DOT of Wind equal to 72% of attack of Black Swan to adjacent targets when they have three or more Sacrament stacks, with a base 50% chance to inflict a Sacrament stack on adjacent targets. Additionally, when they have seven or more Sacrament stacks plus, the current DOT inflicted after this ignores 20% of the target’s defense and the defense of adjacent targets).
- Technical (overworld ability): From the Facade to the Truth (At the start of the next battle, there is a base 150% chance of inflicting a Sacrament charge on all enemies. An additional Sacrament charge is applied to an enemy for each successful application of Sacrament, repeating until The Sacrament fails to be inflicted. Honkai Star Rail Black Swan Ascent Materials
You need to use Black Swan Ascension materials to improve stats such as its health, attack, defense, and critical hit effectiveness.
With the latest beta information coming from Honeyhunterworld, it looks like you need a lot of Ascendant Debris and Core-based materials for Black Swan to fully enhance her abilities.

Much like Ascension, to get the most out of Black Swan, you’ll need to upgrade her attacks and passive abilities using Trace Materials, which vary from character to character.
Thanks again to Honeyhunterworld for looking up the info, for Black Swan it looks like you will need to use a lot of Fiery Spirit and Core based materials to fully enhance its abilities.
Materials based on Fiery Spirit unfortunately cannot be pre-farmed, as they will not be available until version 2.0.

Honkai Star Rail Eidolons of the Black Swan
By obtaining duplicates of Warping’s Black Swan on his banner, you will receive his Eidolon. This gear allows you to unlock levels of Eidolon, with each upgrade improving either an existing attack or a passive ability.
With beta information from Project Yatta, here are all of the Black Swan Eidolons in Honkai: Star Rail:
- Seven Pillars of Wisdom (E1): While Black Swan is active in combat, enemies affected by the Wind Shear, Bleed, Burn, and Shocked states have their Wind, Physical, Fire, and Lightning resistance reduced by 25%, respectively.
- Don’t cry for me, my lamb (E2): When an enemy under the Sacrament effect is downed, there is a base 100% chance to inflict five stacks of Sacrament on adjacent targets.
- As above, so below (E3): Increases Black Swan’s skill and talent level by two, with a maximum upgrade level of 15.
- In tears we offer (E4): In Epiphany state, resistance to enemy targets’ effects is reduced by 10% and Black Swan regenerates eight energy at the start of the target’s turn or when the afflicted enemy is defeated. This energy regeneration effect can only trigger once during the Epiphany duration. The number of triggers is refreshed once the enemy undergoes Epiphany again.
- Milky Way Flyway (E5): Increases Black Swan’s Ultimate level by two with a maximum upgrade level of 15, and increases her basic attack level by one, with a maximum upgrade level of 10.
- Merciful Pantheon, Pitiful Masses (E6): When Black Swan’s teammates attack enemy targets, Black Swan has a base 65% chance to inflict Sacrament on each enemy hit. Additionally, each time Black Swan inflicts Sacrament on an enemy, there is a fixed 50% chance to also increase the stack of Sacrament affected that time by one.
