How do Signal 50 attachments work in Modern Warfare 2 beta?
In the Modern Warfare 2 beta, the Signal 50 has no unlockable or manually equipped attachments, but comes pre-built with a variable zoom scope.
If you’re looking to try out the Signal 50 with attachments, it seems the only way is to select the default “Lone Survivor – Sentinel” loadout during matches – here it’s upgraded with four attachments on the shooter. elite, including an extended magazine.
However, you are always free to customize your personal playstyle, with a choice of perks and gear to best accompany the Signal 50 sniper.
Modern Warfare 2 Signal 50 Best Class Setup, Perks & Gear
Since the Signal 50 is a powerful sniper rifle perfect for long-range encounters, it’s very effective in modes that feature larger maps, like Invasion.
Whether you’re playing the basic 6v6 modes or something like Invasion, staying in the shadows and keeping a low profile will be your best bet.
As such, we pick out a set of perks and amenities to help keep you in the know while you stick your head out from a safe distance.

Perk customization has changed in Modern Warfare 2, but the fundamentals of gearing them remain the same – to start, create a custom “perk set”.
For basic benefits, we recommend Exaggerated and Tracker.
Overkill lets you pick up a second primary weapon, providing backup if you need to move or fend off oncoming enemies.
Tracker is great for stealth playstyles – enemies leave behind a trail of footprints, while your kill markers are hidden from the enemy team.
For your bonus benefit, there are a few good picks – our first shout out would be To concentratereducing down sight flinch (ADS) and extending your sniper’s breath time.
However, if you want flexibility, Replenishment Where Fast hands are the best choices.
The former lets you spawn with an extra lethal grenade – great for setting up stronger defenses – and allows your gear to recharge after 25 seconds, providing an endless supply of lethal and tactical grenades.
Fast Hands, on the other hand – no pun intended – reduces weapon swap times, rather noticeable for the Signal 50 given its high weight and a bonus with Overkill.
As for your “ultimate benefit”, Phantom is a great choice if stealth is your preference, as it will hide you from enemy UAVs, handheld radars and heartbeat sensors, allowing you to keep a low profile.
Alternatively, if you’re looking to stay in the know, High alert is what you want, alerting you on-screen when spotted by an enemy.
In terms of secondary, since we’ve selected Overkill, we’ll be choosing a primary weapon – for 6v6 game modes, the Lachmann submarine is an excellent choice for its effectiveness at close range.
If you’re playing ‘Invasion’, however, since the maps are vast, you’ll want to carry something a little more appropriate as you traverse and change positions.
The M16, equipped with Hybrid Firepoint optics that lets you switch between a 4x scope and a red dot sight (unlocked by leveling the Lachmann-762 to level 14), acts as a brilliant backup to the Signal 50.
Since our loadout emphasizes finding a particular spot to shoot from, our deadly recommendation is one that will cover your back.
The Claymore is a solid choice for its proximity-based detonation – it doesn’t unlock until level 27 though, so we’d recommend using the proximity mine until then.
In the tactical slot, you’ll want to reinforce the stealth aspect of the class.
Smoke Grenades are a good choice here, especially for Invasion, creating a cloud of smoke that will help cover your approach.
Decoy grenades are also worth trying – albeit niche – as they can lure enemies in by creating annoying false radar signals, potentially opening up a kill for you.
When it comes to field leveling, you can’t go wrong with a Portable radar at your position to keep an eye out for any incoming opponents.
However, the Tactical Insert is handy to have – especially for larger modes – as it allows you to mark a location for the next spawn, perfect if you’ve found an effective sniper nest.
Without attachments, it’s hard to fully lean into a distinct playstyle for the Signal 50 during the beta.
However, with our recommendations and whatever else you might want to play with, there is still some flexibility, especially useful when there are a few modes to test it out.
