MultiVersus Season 1 is the biggest update to the multiplayer brawler since the game launched in open beta last month.
There are currently 17 fighters to play with, with more on the way as part of this upcoming MultiVersus season. That’s not all – with new cosmetics, new modes, and a battle pass to complete along the way as well.

When is MultiVersus season 1 coming out? MultiVersus Season 1 Release Time
Season 1 of MultiVersus has a release date of Monday August 15th.
Similar to the Open Beta times, Season 1 will go live from the following times:
- UK: 6pm to 7pm (BST)
- Europe: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. (CEST)
- US East Coast: 1 to 2 p.m. (EDT)
- United States West Coast: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (PDT)
As with all online games, there may be delays or changes as we approach launch. In the meantime, you can read the MultiVersus patch notes and see the official release time confirmation below, detailing the update’s release date:

What happens to MultiVersus in Season 1?
Season 1’s main title is Morty, the first DLC character to be added to MultiVersus. Plus, there are plenty of other new modes and cosmetics to try. Here’s what’s included in MultiVersus Season 1:
- New Characters (Morty – scheduled for August 23, Rick – TBC)
- Classic Arcade Mode
- New Cosmetics (Icons, Banners, Variants)
- Ranked Mode
It’s worth noting that while Rick Sanchez is pictured in the tweet above, we don’t know when he’ll be launching in-game. Given that he was included in Season 1 marketing, it’s likely that he and Morty will be released as part of Season 1. Hopefully, we won’t have too long to wait.
