Mechanical Castilians are the main collectibles of the Resident Evil 4 redo.
There are 16 Clockwork Castellans to find in total, and for destroying them all, you’ll get the Primal Knife and the “Revolution Wind-up” trophy or achievement.

Resident Evil 4 Clockwork Castellan location 1
The first Clockwork Castellan in Resident Evil 4 is located on the rafters inside a house in the Lakeside Settlement. It’s the house west of the wooden pier.

This Clockwork Castellan is located in the small hut between the abandoned factory and the village chief’s mansion, on a haystack in the corner. There is a note on the Castellan dolls in the hut to indicate that this is the correct one.

Located at the top of a square at the southern end of the small wooden footbridge, below the Merchant near the lake.

When you beat Del Lago and can move freely in the boat, return to the lakeside settlement and use the badge key on the locked door to the north. Then, climb the ladder in the back and you’ll find this Mechanical Castellan north of the Forest Altar area, hidden behind a gap in the fences.

You need to save Ashley from the church before you can get this doll, because she has to go down a ladder into the top room of the village chief’s mansion. To reveal this ladder, press the switch to the right of the desk, then boost Ashley.
The Castellan Mécanique in the attic of the Manoir du Chef de Village hides under some pictures, next to a headless dummy in the southeast part.

In Chapter 6, past the typewriter hut, but before the checkpoint, look next to the fire to find this Castellan on the ground next to it.

You’ll find this Clockwork Castellan in the dungeons above a shelf near the green grass on the cabinet, after the Garrador Dungeon mini-boss, but before the sword puzzle.

You can find the eighth Clockwork Castellan location in Resident Evil 4 at the top of the west tower of the castle walls, on sandbags, below where the treasure chest is.

When you reach the castle you have to tackle the treasure sword, the four slot wall, the dining hall bell and the exact time of the grandfather clock, as well as the dungeon Garrador, to two giants and to the bosses of Ramón Salazar. The island is next, and there are still puzzles with calibration puzzles, keycard locations and a hidden key, as well as the final bosses Krauser and Sadler.

Head to the northwest corner of the courtyard to find this Mechanical Castellan hidden behind the right side of a statue covered in cloth and planks.

You can only get this Clockwork Castellan after falling into the depths below the castle during Chapter 10. Travel the depths until you find the merchant, where you will see this doll inside the grate in face of the coin with the merchant.
The little rascal hangs upside down, so it’s a little tricky to spot at first.

This Castellan doll is located on the rafters near the entrance to the ruined remand prison, which you come to after your first minecart ride in Chapter 11.

You’ll find this Castellan on the bottom floor of the Clock Tower in Chapter 12, above some crates to the left of the stairs.

After passing the dock and up the island in Chapter 13, you will come across an area with shipping containers. This Clockwork Castellan is located under the truck in this dead end area.

Exit the Amber store and turn right to the west side of the campsite, where you’ll see this doll on top of a locker in a small room.

Go to the small room between the Cliffside Ruins and the Specimen Storage to find the Mechanical Castellan above the rafters above the treasure chest.

The last Clockwork Castellan in Resident Evil 4 is found after Sadler’s fight, during the self-destruct countdown. You’ll find it in the underpass area with the forklift, above a large pile of wooden crates next to the forklift.
