The nurse station keypad code in Silent Hill 2 is 3578 on “Standard” puzzle difficulty, and 7456 in “Hard” puzzle difficulty.
You gain access to the treatment room via the nurse’s office, which contains the moldy x-ray item required to solve the x-ray viewer puzzle. This then gives you the code for the combination lock room D1 in 3F, and you need to access this room in order to obtain the dirty bracelet required to complete the puzzle Hand in the Director’s Office in 2F – the main puzzle in the first half of Brookhaven Hospital.
You also unlock a shortcut to the west staircase in the treatment room, which is useful for quickly navigating the west side of Brookhaven Hospital.
Silent Hill 2 Nurse Station Keyboard Puzzle Solution
You need to find the keyboard combo note in the doctor’s lounge in 1F of Brookhaven Hospital to solve the nurse station keyboard puzzle. The harder the puzzle difficulty, the harder the clue is to solve.
On “Standard” puzzle difficulty, you see two lines on circles that represent the keyboard numbers, so there are only two possible solutions here, either 3578 or 8753, as these sequences represent where the lines could possibly start. So eliminating the incorrect answer, the answer is 3578.
The difficulty of the “Hard” puzzle is, of course, a little harder to solve, because there is a line, but there are now X’s, O’s and blank spaces on the combined keyboard note. Once you understand that this is really just a game of tic-tac-toe, you can see that you need to add an “X” to the blank space on the right to win the game as “X “.
So following the line with this logic gives you two code possibilities: 7456 or 6547, and eliminating the incorrect one gives you 7456.
