How to unlock the FSS Hurricane in Warzone 2.0
To unlock the FSS Hurricane in Warzone 2.0 you need to rank the FTAC Recon up to level 16.
Warzone 2.0 has a progression system that players must use to unlock certain weapons, using a new ‘platforming’ system – simply put, rather than leveling up a player’s level, certain weapons are unlocked by leveling up other weapons – in the case of the FSS Hurricane, it is one of the last unlockable guns on the M4 platform.
To unlock the Hurricane, you will first need to progress through the FTAC Recon ranks, which in itself requires the M4 to be leveled to 13.
However, if you are a Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition owner, you will have access to all weapons on the M4 platform, including the FSS Hurricane, as well as all available attachments that can be earned through game progression. M4 platform – this basically means that you skip this whole unlocking process and can immediately use and customize the weapon.

Warzone 2.0 FSS Hurricane best class build, perk set and gear
Our picks for the best Warzone 2.0 FSS Hurricane secondary, perks, and gear are:
- Benefits package: Guardian (unlocks at level 1)
- Secondary: X12 (unlocks at level 31)
- Tactical: Flash Grenade (unlocks at level 1)
- Deadly: Frag Grenade (unlocks at level 1)
For this loadout, we go with the Director Perk Package, consisting of Double Time, Strong Arm, Fast Hands, and Overclock, all of which contribute to a run-and-gun style of play for the FSS Hurrcane.
Benefits like Double time – which allow you to use Tactical Sprint longer and move faster when crouched – and Fast hands – allowing you to reload, use gear and switch weapons faster – directly increase your moment-to-moment movement speed, keeping you ready for action as you traverse the closing circles of Al Mazrah.
Whereas strong arm does not contribute to the speed aspect as such, it will allow you to throw equipment further, with a trajectory displayed while doing so.
As for the fourth and last advantage, Overclock Allows you to recharge field upgrades found in Warzone 2.0 matches, as well as unlocking a slot to store a second charge and reducing all field upgrade charge rates by 20%.
Since this loadout is focused on using the FSS Hurricane as much as possible, having a simple gun such as X12 as your secondary weapon is a quick and easy option for finishing off an enemy rather than reloading your primary weapon – situations like this should naturally be rarer thanks to the FSS Hurricane’s larger magazine size.
Stay consistent with the rest of the loadout, choose a Flash Grenade for your tactics is a good option to preface a room entrance with a quick flashbang through the door, stunning any enemies inside.
Even though close combat is the top priority for this class, taking a Frag Grenade because your Lethal is a solid and reliable solution to advance towards enemies further away from you, sitting behind walls or in buildings.
