The card is named Al Mazrahand thanks to pre-release showcases, we now know enough about how it compares to Verdansk.
It’s clear that Warzone 2.0 aims to do things a little differently than its predecessor, with all new locations encouraging a wide variety of player encounters.
This guide to Al Mazrah brings together everything we know about the map before the release of Warzone 2.0, including named locations you can go to and some info on what to expect once you land.

Warzone 2.0 map locations at a glance
Activision has finally given us a look at the Warzone 2.0 map. It is called Al Mazrah and is based in the fictional Republic of Adal region. There are 18 locations, or points of interest (PO), ranging from rural and industrial areas to commercial spaces and metropolitan areas.
You can check out a screenshot of the Warzone 2.0 Al Mazrah map below:
Looking at the map at a glance shows the different types of terrain you will be fighting on in the game. There are rivers meandering through the map, which will undoubtedly enhance the new underwater combat mechanics present in Warzone 2.0.
Al Mazrah named the places and points of interest in detail
There are 18 points of interest to check out on Al Mazrah. Here is some information about each:
- Oasis – Multiple freshwater pools and palm trees provide respite from the desert beyond.
- Tarak Village – A united offensive has reduced this once peaceful village to rust and rubble. The narrow boundaries of these areas make them suitable for small squad fights, especially duels.
- Rohan oil – One of the largest employers in the region, the Rohan Oil Refinery is strategically positioned close to some of Adal’s oldest oil derricks.
- Quarry (Al Safwa Quarry) – Massive limestone deposits make the quarry one of the three largest industrial areas in Al Mazrah, with nearly a dozen warehouses and hundreds of individually chiseled stone blocks.
- City of Al-Mazrah – Skyscrapers and modern buildings are the heart of Al Mazrah’s biggest point of interest. It was planned to be the ideal city – it quickly took in nearly a million people, who were evicted to the slums on the outskirts.
- Hydroelectric (Zarqwa Hydroelectric) – A mixture of historical monuments, mid-century lifestyles and modern industrial buildings are scattered around the rivers that create electricity for this small town, as well as the entire region.
- Swamp (Mawizeh Swamp) – The Marshlands was once home to the ambitious River Diamond Luxury Resort in the 20th century. Now, due to rising river levels, it and the city around it are completely flooded, with both water from the rivers and waste flowing from the city to the north.
- Caves (Sattiq Caves) – A deep network of underground hideouts lies within sight of a small village – where a plane once crashed – built into the mountainside. Elsewhere, a high communication tower and a small group of houses rise towards the quarry.
- Observatory (Zaya Observatory) – Atop Al Mazrah’s tallest mountain, several domed structures, including one destroyed, help the area spot the stars. Note the research facilities between each of the observation buildings.
- Al Sharim Pass – This former monastery and mausoleum overlooks a modern village and zoo. The highest hill contains several modernized buildings over the rest of the area, partially destroyed due to the elements and warfare.
- Ahkdar Village – The World Heritage Site consists of a central courtyard and market areas define the western half, while more modern apartments make up the eastern part.
- said city – A vast modern shopping center is juxtaposed with old apartments that have housed generations of port workers. The area also contains a medieval-themed carnival and a minor league football stadium.
- Port (Port Hafid) – The port is the economic jewel of Al Mazrah, ending the Rohan pipeline to the great seas. Several large warehouse structures lie inland, while the port itself has few containers due to international economic restrictions for the area.
- Sawah Village – Rising sea levels have caused this once bustling coastal village to submerge under water, with a crashed freighter a symptom rather than a cause of the evacuation of the population.
- Cemetery (El Samman Cemetery) – A war memorial, an important cemetery is now mostly abandoned and neglected, especially with a collapsed water tower flooding dozens of graves. The area is completely open to the elements, with a broken stone wall defining its boundaries.
- Sariff Bay – Home to the precious fisheries of the country, this bay preserves the history of Al Mazrah, as well as that of Adal. It contains a bustling city center with suburbs, a modern resort town, and a few small islands.
- Al Bagra Fortress – Defining the region’s medieval history, this walled island town was a museum dedicated to displaying its cultural significance up until the occupation. Note the large crab factory at the east end, an overflow from adjacent Sariff Bay.
- Airport (Al Malik Airport) – Terminal at the southern tip of Al Mazrah, this modern airport mixes traditional and modern architecture to accommodate both business and leisure activities.
