The SP-R 208 in Warzone 2.0 is one of the first weapons unlocked in the player’s level progression track, comparable to a sniper rifle and as such suitable for long range combat.
While rapid aiming with this rifle is technically possible in Warzone 2.0, it might not be the best mode to test it out, especially since the SP-R 208 doesn’t lend itself particularly well to this style of shooting. Game.
However, it is a consistent weapon in its “sniper rifle” category, aimed at players who want to get familiar with the role of a sniper.
To prepare you before taking on the role of a silent and deadly sniper assassin, we’ve put together this explainer covering the best loading SP-R 208including attachments, benefit package and equipment, as well as how to unlock SP-R 208 in Warzone 2.0.

Warzone 2.0 SP-R 208 best loadout and attachments
Here are the best Warzone 2.0 SP-R 208 gear and accessories:
- Muzzle: Polarfire-S (unlocks at Lachmann-762 Lv. 5)
- Barrel: 22.5″ Elevate-11 (unlocks at SP-R 208 Lv. 4)
- Optical: SP-X 80 6.6X (unlocks at SP-R 208 Lv. 5)
- Lock: FSS ST87 Bolt (unlocks at SP-R 208 Lv. 9)
- Magazine: 7.62 High Velocity (unlocks at Lachmann-762 Lv. 12) / 10 Round Mag (unlocks at SP-R 208 Lv. 6)
As a sniper rifle, the SP-R 208 is ideal for hitting targets from long range while still being capable of fast consecutive shots, qualities that this accessory set enhances.
As we’ll see further below, we’re thinking of the SP-R 208 from many angles with its place in Warzone 2.0, so we’ve selected a range of attachments that allow it to function as an effective sniper with a core improvements and stealth-focused improvements layered on.
As for our first recommendation of attachments, the Polarfire-S is a great choice for the muzzle, giving this rifle sound suppression, increasing its bullet speed and damage range for longer range shots, and providing some recoil smoothness to get you back on target faster.
For fixing the barrel, the 22.5″-11 Rise is a good shout, especially due to its fairly simple unlock path, unlike the other four barrels available. It will also increase damage range and bullet speed, with a bit of hip fire accuracy improvement, if you want to try hitting here and there.
As for the optics, the SP-R does not have them, but it does provide the option of using this weapon as a mid-range rifle.
For this build, we recommend going the sniper route, equipping it with the SP-X 80 6.6Xa 6.6x magnification scope – which has a toggle option to increase it to 11x – perfect for the more open, long-range sight lines littered with Al Mazrah.
For the SP-R’s fourth attachment, we’re choosing to equip a bolt – a unique type of attachment for snipers and sniper rifles, much like combs – and there’s no only two options available: the FSS ST87 bolt and the reinforced ZLR lock.
We recommend the Shop FSS ST87not only for its ability to speed up the rifle’s reload speed and rate of fire (helping you prepare another shot ready for your targets), but also because the other option takes a bit of time to unlock.
Leveling the LA-B 330 to 19 is the requirement for this, which in itself requires of them other weapons must be leveled first, so the first of the two bolts is the best choice here – but feel free to experiment if you have both unlocked!
For the final attachment recommendation of the SP-R, we point to the 7.62 High speed type of ammunition that will increase bullet velocity, helping shots land on target faster and useful to help compensate during longer range engagements.
If you find that 5 shots per mag isn’t enough, feel free to swap that ammo type instead for a 10 Round Mag – just keep in mind the movement reductions, ADS and sprint speeds fire, and reload quickly.

Warzone 2.0 SP-R 205 best class build, perk set and gear
Our picks for the best Warzone 2.0 SP-R 205 secondary, perk set, and gear are:
- Benefits package: Weapons Specialist
- Secondary: M4
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade / Tear Gas
- Deadly: Claymore / Thermite
For the Perk band to accompany the SPR-208, we go with Weapons Specialist.
Since the SPR-208 is a sniper rifle, it doesn’t fully lean into the role of a sniper rifle, so we make it an advantage to balance this class on either side of the spectrum to medium and Long range.
As such, Exaggerated – which allows you to take a second primary weapon – will help create flat ground, allowing you to play part of the role of a sniper, while still having a solid backup weapon if things go wrong up close.
strong arm is your second perk, admittedly not one that’s going to elevate this class to another level, but the extra throw distance for gear and the trajectory shown is a nice bonus.
As for the third benefit though, since we’re looking at the SPR-208 in this loadout as some sort of scout-based class, Observer lets you see enemy gear through walls, highlight it for your teammates when ADS-ing, and be able to hack into gear like Claymores, Proximity Mines, C4s, and Trophy Systems, turning them over against your enemies, providing some building support.
For the last advantage, Survivor is what this set of perks does, not only allowing you to be revived faster by your allies, but also pinging any enemy that takes you down, giving your teammates an immediate alert to the location where your attackers are on the offensive from.
Since these perks learn a bit more of a support role, unless Overkill is what you want – it’s the only perk package available for Warzone 2.0 – you can opt for the Warden or Recon Perk Packs which might suit solo and stealth playstyles a bit more.
For example, with Warden, you get more speed with the double-duration sprint provided by Double Time and faster reload, gear usage, and weapon swaps provided by Fast Hands – while Recon, d on the other hand, lets you lean more into a stealth. / fantasy sniper thanks to reduced flinch and better accuracy with Focus and the ability to reveal which direction an enemy is facing with UAV pings and Rader thanks to Birdseye.
With limited customization when it comes to perks in Warzone, while this may prove better for the overall balance of the game, it does mean you might want to play around with different perk packages to see what works for you. you – the same goes for your chosen attachment selections.
Moving on to the secondary for this class, since we have access to Overkill, we have a choice of any primary weapon to back up the SP-R – and what better weapon to choose than the M4one of the most powerful Assault Rifles in the game right now, if not the most powerful, for its high but controlled rate of fire, large selection of attachments, and overall effectiveness.
Since we’ve given some decent options for whether you play this class as a solo player or a support player in a team, we’ll give you some options following this structure for your lethal and tactical grenades.
If you lean more into a supporting role, Tear gas for your Tactical and Thermite for your Lethal are good shouts, allowing you to ambush and corner enemies with area-of-effect gear.
If instead you’re playing alone and want to stay a bit more in the shadows, choose either a Smoke Grenade or Heartbeat Sensor for your Tactics, and Claymore – Where proximity mine if you haven’t unlocked the Claymore yet – for your Lethal is the way to go, providing you with backup in those tighter, tense engagements in the second half of matches.
Since this build covers a few options, feel free to choose what works best for you and customize the more you play – something you’ll likely do naturally due to the way weapons and attachments are unlocked.
