The XMR scheme is a sniper rifle released as part of Warzone 2.0 Season 1.
This rifle’s selling point has to be its damage – taking the place of the Signal 50 as the most damaging sniper in Warzone 2.0.
While it may already be solid, through our recommendations on this page, we’ll go over the best Victus XMR class construction including attachments, benefit package and equipment, as well as how to unlock the Victus XMR yourself.

How to Unlock the Victus XMR in Warzone 2.0
The Victus XMR is unlocked as part of the Season 1 Battle Pass.
With the new Battle Pass system introduced in Warzone 2.0, you can choose your desired unlock path for rewards, giving you more control than usual over how rewards are unlocked.
This means you can acquire the sniper in the equivalent of what used to be 20 linear levels – and you have the freedom to go straight to it from the start – however, depending on your unlock path up present, you can have more progress required.

Keep in mind that after Season 1, the unlock requirements for this weapon may change – based on recent Call of Duty titles, it will likely require a challenge to unlock instead.
Warzone 2.0 Victus XMR best loadout and attachments
Since the Victus XMR has the best damage of any sniper in the game and we’re building with a massive map in mind, we’ll want to look at that high damage like its strength, increasing damage range and bullet speed to emphasize this at as high a distance as possible, while increasing down-sight speed (ADS).
Here are the best Warzone 2.0 Victus XMR loadouts and accessories:
- Barrel: Mack 8 33.5 Super (unlocks at Victus XMR Lv. 3) / Optics: SP-X 80 6.6X (unlocks at SP-R 208 Lv. 5)
- Laser: 1 MW Rapid Fire Laser (unlocks at Lockwood 300 Lv. 4)
- Store: XRK Rise 50 (unlocks at Victus XMR Lv. 19)
- Guardian: Corvus Responder (unlocks at Defeat XMR Lv. 26)
- Rear handle: STIP-40 Grip (unlocks at Victus XMR level 16)
For our first attachment, we’re going for the Mack 8 33.5 Super gun that leans towards the aforementioned goal of increasing damage range and bullet speed – this gun does both, though it affects ADS speed and hip recoil control, with the former being more problematic than the second.
Alternatively, depending on how you like to play, since the Victus XMR has quite an extended zoom to its base sniper range, you can choose to limit some of that damage range and bullet speed, by opting instead for the SP-X 80 6.6X optic. which can switch between 6.6x and 11x magnification – perfect for helping you find the best scope for different ranges.
Combined with the options below – including our other rear handle suggestion – this will make ADS-ing a much more seamless experience.
However, if we don’t equip the alternate scope option, we’re going to want to offset some of the barrel’s ADS speed reduction, and that’s where our second choice comes in – the 1MW Rapid Fire Laser is the only laser sight available that increases ADS speed without the laser being visible to other players, even when aiming – although the reflection of blue light from the laser is visible when looking at the shooter front elite.
For the third attachment, we choose the XRK Climb 50 which will not only increase your crouching and sprinting speed, but also your ADS speed, compensating for some of the longer zoom times of this weapon. This gets in the way of the gun’s recoil control somewhat, but that’s where our next two attachments come in.
Equip the Corvus answering machine Guard – although it takes a long time to acquire – will be a safe bet here thanks to its recoil stability and flinch resistance buffs, synergizing with one of the perk package perks we’ll be recommending in the next section.
To beef up that recoil control even further, we complete this build with the STIP-40 Grip – it takes a hit to aim stability, but with all the other attachments and bonuses it won’t be much of an issue, with aiming feel otherwise coherent overall.
That said, if you wanted to experiment a bit, you could grab the Bruen Q900 Grip instead, which will grant a buff to sprint-to-fire and ADS speed – although it’s worth noting that the increased of ADS speed isn’t too noticeable, that is, unless you choose our alternative optics option.
Especially with new weapons, it’s always worth trying out different attachments, so feel free to experiment on your own to see what works for you.

Warzone 2.0 Victus XMR best class build, perk set and gear
Since this is a sniper class, we are thinking about the weapon’s performance at long range. As such, we’re choosing a set of perks and gear that will allow this style of play to take center stage.
Our picks for the best Warzone 2.0 Victus XMR secondary, perk set, and gear are:
- Benefits package: Recon / Weapons Specialist (unlocks at level 1)
- Secondary: .50 GS (unlocks at level 13)
- Tactical: Spotter Scope (unlocks at level 1) / Decoy Grenade (unlocks at level ??)
- Deadly: Claymore (unlocks at level 25) / Throwing Knife (unlocks at level 44)
As mentioned, this is a very sniper-focused class, and as such, the Acknowledgement The perks package is the best here, offering Double Time, Tracker, Focus, and Birdseye perks.
The first advantage of this package Double time will grant buffs to your tactical sprint duration and crouch movement speed – paired with our stock attachment recommended earlier, you’ll get even more crouch movement speed, helping you get away from other enemies in the field of battle.
Just like it says on the box, recognition is the name of the game and the Tracker perk fully leans into this, allowing you to see enemy footprints.
On top of that, any enemy eliminated by you doesn’t show a kill marker, keeping your position low – with our recommended unsuppressed sniper though, this might be less effective, so you can always reinforce the kill marker. stealth aspect here with a suppressor if that’s how you want to build this class instead.
As for the third advantage of this package, To concentrate
As for the last advantage, bird eyes reveals the direction enemies are facing when they appear on your radar via UAV or general radar pings – this can not only give you an idea of where enemies in the distance might be, but will also keep you on guard back covered.
Speaking of keeping you covered, this class has quite a bit in that department and that’s where our recommendations for secondary and lethal and tactical grenades come in.
A strong secondary choice here is the .50GS sidearm, packing some serious firepower that acts as a sweet backup for the Victus, offering not only great range but also high damage – it can kill enemies with two shots, one if to the head and relatively close of the enemy, making it a rather deadly save.
The X13 Auto is still there if you prefer a fully automatic option, but we think the .50 GS is the way to go here.
Of course, you can always find more weapons scattered around the map, so if you prefer something a little more flexible, you’ll no doubt be able to find something like this – and if not, the Specialist Perks Package of weapons is still there, grouping Overkill into a set of four perks.
For your Lethal and Tactical we’re specializing a bit more than usual – you can still take the traditional Frag and Flash/Stun nades if you want, but we’re directing you to the Viewing Range and Claymoreleaning into the scout style of play with a bit of explosive save too.
You could instead take a Throwing knife rather than the Claymore, but that entirely depends on how you intend to play – feel free to experiment!
