How to get clay in Enshrouded
Before you go hiking around the map, we recommend crafting a pickaxe, glider, grappling hook, and storing all your materials in a few chests in case you die while traveling.
Once that’s done, head directly north from the starting area towards the area around Crushed Willow And Ancient vault – Farmer, at the far north end of Braelyn Bridge. This is the first place we’ve come across where you can get clay in Enshrouded (specific locations are detailed in the section below).
After Willow Crush, we recommend heading further north towards the Ancient Arrow – Revelwood landmark, as the surroundings here are the best place to find clay in Ensrouded. We also highly recommend completing the trial for this spire so you can unlock Ancient Spire – Revelwood as a fast travel location at its peak. This allows you to use the glider to quickly reach nearby Clay locations.
We’ve listed some of the best places to find clay below, along with photo maps.

How to Farm Clay in Enshrouded
There are two main ways to Clay farm in Ensrouded:
- Quickly access Clay locations by hovering from the Ancient Spire Monument – Revelwood.
- Quickly access clay locations by placing a flame altar next to them.
Whichever method you choose, remember that when you leave Enshrouded and re-enter a world, all its resources will be reset. This means you can farm an area of clay until it runs dry, then restart your game and the clay will be back, creating an infinite clay farming loop.
If this issue is ever fixed, we recommend exploiting the multiple Clay locations near the Ancient Spire – Revelwood waypoint, as they are very easy to access from the Spire fast travel point.
It takes about two days in the game for Clay to respawn if you don’t use the restart trick.
Good luck finding and farming clay in Enshrouded!
