THE Kikakin Shrine In Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is a blackened maze, constituting the Shining in the Darkness Puzzle.
It’s a navigational challenge and without any lights it can be a very tricky sanctuary. However, as with some of the other Tears of the Kingdom shrines, there are multiple chests to find, so you’ll want to make sure you don’t miss anything in the dark.
This guide will walk you through the Shining Darkness Sanctuary, showing you the Kikakin Shrine Walkthroughits location and the steps to get all of its chests.

Kikakin Shrine location in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
THE Kikakin Shrine is near Great Hyrule Forest. This places it in the northern section of the map, sitting at the coordinates (-0395, 2736, 0287).
It’s in an area of rough terrain with a lot of rock climbing, so it may be easier to slide down from Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower.
Kikakin Shrine puzzle solution in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
For solve the Kikakin Shrine you will first have to face the darkness. When you first enter the sanctuary, you will see that it is very dark, and although there is a Zonaite device to pick up and provide light, it will still be difficult to see.
However, we recommend that you bring Brilliant Flower Seeds as these really help to brighten up the space and mark your route. You’ll see we’ve done that in these images, so if you don’t, expect it to be a lot darker.
First head to the passage at the bottom left of the starting area. Go past the spikes and look for a square in the right wall. Use Ultrahand to take out a block and then the chest hidden behind it. You will have four Amber From this.
Continue down the hall towards the spikes on the wall. At the end of the corridor, turn left, then take the first right. This hallway folds in on itself, with spiked platforms that extend and retract. Be careful with your timing as you progress, but once through you’ll reach a chest containing a Luminous Stone.
Go back past the moving spike platforms and turn right, then right again to reach another moving spike platform. On the ground is a floor slab that can be lifted with Ultrahand revealing another chest. This contains the Small Key that you will need to complete Kikakin Shrine. However, there are even more chests with additional rewards to find.
Return to the main hallway and look for the two moving spike platforms that meet in the middle. From there, look up and you’ll find a platform you can climb up to. Climb on it and you will find a chest containing a Zonaite Bow.
Go back down and pass between the two moving spike platforms. On the left you will see a hallway with three red laser beams. Go past these, without touching them, to the spiked wall at the back, and look left. Surprise! It’s another chest. This contains a Opal.
Finally, these are all the chests, so go back past the lasers and immediately turn right, then right again to return to the entrance room. You can then open the door with the Small Key and claim your blessing light.
