Best Rina Build
We have more detailed explanations and alternative choices below, but at a glance, here’s what we consider to be the best build of Rina in Zenless Zone Zero:
- Best weapon: S-Rank Crib of Tears.
- Best Training Disc Set:4 Swing Jazz pieces and 2 Puffer Electro pieces.
- Best team:Grace and Anton.
How to play Rina
Rina is a simple character to understand, but she can be difficult to play in practice if you’re not used to switching characters quickly. However, she gets easier to play as you practice, and it won’t take you long to master Rina’s perfect rhythm.
With Rina, your goal is to attack with her puppets Drusilla or Anastella as often as possible, but switch to another character during puppet attack animationsso you make the most of the team-wide penetration ratio bonus that the entire team gets when Drusilla or Anastella attacks. If you don’t swap, Rina’s attacks can feel very slow and you miss out on easy damage gains.
Rina’s Penetration bonus ends when Drusilla and Anastella return to her. When this happens, switch to Rina and use an attack to deploy them back onto the field. Repeat this tactic to get the most out of Rina’s Penetration Ratio Scaling Kit!
Drusilla and Anastella are used in most of Rina’s attacks, but we recommend using her Ex Special Attack and Chain Attack to activate the effect if you can, and her basic attack if not. When using a chain attack, try to start with your Anomaly or Stun character first, then switch to Rina, then finish on your attacker to deal as much increased damage as possible.
Rina’s Best Teams
Rina’s best team is with Grace and Antonbecause Grace applies Shock very quickly with her Special Attack, allowing you to build Rina in a more supportive role and not worry too much about her Shock application, and Anton is currently the best Electro attacker in the game who has a Faction buff with Grace.
Since Rina’s penetration ratio buff is so good, she can actually be used on many other teams, but keep in mind that her base passive is designed to increase damage taken by shocked enemies, so Electric characters get the biggest boost from having Rina on their team.
In this spirit, Rina also has a natural synergy with Anby and Billy for free-to-play teams. You’ll want to build Rina more as a shock enforcer on this team, though, which means developing Anomaly Mastery is more important than it usually is.
A Victoria Housekeeping team with Lycaon and Ellen can also work even though they are ice characters, as Lycaon and Ellen are so good in their roles together that Rina’s penetration rate is just the cherry on top of their DPS abilities.
Best Rina Drive Discs
We believe that the 4-piece jazz swing is the best Driving Disc set for Rina in Zenless Zone Zero, as its 2 pieces increase her energy regeneration and its 4 pieces increase the damage of all team members for 12 seconds when Rina performs a chain attack or ultimate.
Alternatively, you can equip the Freedom Blues in 4 parts Use the Drive Disc if you want to deliver the shock faster. The 2-piece disc increases anomaly proficiency and the 4-piece disc reduces the target’s anomaly stack resistance to their attribute (electric). We recommend using this 4-piece disc over Swing Jazz if you don’t have Grace on your team.
As for your 2-room apartment, we recommend using the Electro Puffer on Rina for her increased penetration rate, or Swing Jazz or Freedom Blues, depending on what you have equipped as a 4-piece.
Rina’s Best Weapons
Rank S Crying Cradle is Rina’s best weapon in Zenless Zone Zero due to its passive bonus to her penetration ratio and its increase to Rina’s energy regeneration while off-field. It also increases the entire team’s damage for three seconds when Rina hits a target. This effect is further increased every 0.5 seconds, but keep in mind that repeated procs only refresh its duration without refreshing the damage increase effect.
For Tier A weapon options, we recommend the Time slice for her passive bonus to Rina’s Penetration Ratio, and her bonuses to Energy Regeneration and Sound Generation when a squad member uses a Counter Dodge, EX Special Attack, Assist Attack, or Chain Attack.
Kaboom the cannon can work if you don’t have Time Slice, as it passively increases Rina’s energy regeneration and increases the entire team’s attack when an enemy is hit, stacking up to four times. If you are sure to trigger the attribute counter effects, then the Unhindered ball game is another alternative choice for its energy regeneration and critical rate boost for the entire team.
While waiting to get one of these options, you can also use Rank B Reverb Mark III to increase the team’s attack when Rina uses a chain attack or ultimate, or the Reverb Mark II for its passive energy regeneration boost and its anomaly mastery and anomaly skill buff.
Best wishes for the Rina building in Zenless Zone Zero!
