A 1970s classic pushes further boundaries in Train Sim World 4.
The theme of border crossings in Train Sim World 4 continues on the Salzburg – Rosenheim railway line, with the DB BR 111 traveling through Germany to Austria.
The theme of crossing borders continues in Train Sim World 4 with the latest route expansion, which crosses both Germany and Austria and leads to the city of Salzburg. The Salzburg – Rosenheim railway takes players through the breathtaking landscape of Bavaria, with distant mountains as a backdrop for a historic route.
The journey is made by a new train in the series: the DB BR 111.
The classic from the 1970s continues to operate in InterCity traffic throughout Germany with double-decker cars and can be used by players on the route between Rosenheim and Salzburg Hbf.
The locomotive has a tap change control, which is different from the usual setup on modern locomotives.
Also included in the add-on are the ÖBB 4024, which runs local transport in and around Salzburg, and the DB BR 185.2 freight train.
This gives players three different ways to experience the rails without requiring additional content beyond the core game.
Salzburg’s main train station and its surroundings are recreated in great detail and even a tribute to the city’s most famous musician has been included in the launch trailer in the form of Mozart’s music.
This release marks the latest route expansion in a series of German and Austrian expansions for the series, including the Maintalbahn route in December and the upcoming Semmeringbahn route, which will be the first fully Austrian route in Train Sim World.
The main game contains the S-Bahn Vorarlberg route between Lindau and Bludenz.
Train Sim World 4: Salzburg – Rosenheim Railway Route Expansion is now available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for 35.99 dollars.
