7 reasons to play Goat Simulator: Remastered, now available with Game Pass

Hello Xbox gamers, I’m Joel Rydholm from Coffee Stain Publishing, one of the original developers from 2014 Goat simulatorand producer Goat Simulator: Remastered! 10 years ago we unleashed Pilgor, a chaotic goat with a penchant for destruction, on the world, and now we’re bringing him back to roam free among a new generation of goat lovers.

Goat Simulator: Remastered Goat Simulator 3 releases today for Xbox Series!

Whether you’re new to Goat Simulator or riding the nostalgia wave, there’s plenty of crazy things to discover and enjoy, so buckle up, join the herd and get ready for an adventure like no other (except, well, Goat Simulator 3).

If you’re still not convinced, I have 7 reasons why you should jump right into our hilarious game today.

A paradise of parody

Goat Simulator lives as a series of parodies, and one of my personal favorite examples of this is the companion quest “Just Around the Corner” in the Goat MMO, in which players must guide McSlowPants to a specific destination. Yes, that is his official name.

We’ve all experienced our fair share of boring escort quests in video games where the NPC you’re supposed to lead is as slow as a snail. So we took that concept and made it a little more exciting by allowing players to speed up the process by continuously headbutting, dragging McSlowPants across the ground, or even placing it in the in-game inventory and “carrying” it to the objective “.

The wildest mutations known to humans and goats

Goat Simulator lets you play as all sorts of goats, including a large goat (which is definitely not just a giraffe), a shopping cart goat (I’m pretty sure it’s literally just a shopping cart) and even a goat – talk about getting the full Goat Simulator experience!

With a convenient mutator menu introduced as part of the remaster, you can now change your appearance on the fly and enjoy playing as goats of all kinds, goat-like creatures and not-so-goat-like creatures at any time you want!

Easter eggs galore

The Goat Simulator series contains as many references and Easter eggs as one could hope for, and Goat Simulator: Remastered is no different. One of my favorite references is an entire quest that takes players on a mysterious journey to find the Turdis, a portable toilet that looks suspiciously like a certain famous blue police box.

After a headbutt, the Turdis disappear and appear in various locations on the map, traveling through space (and time) in true sci-fi fashion.

For all you Sanctum fans, there’s also a super niche reference in the DLC quest “Payday”, where you have to go on a quest to steal a copy of Sanctum 3 (which doesn’t exist… at least not yet) and to upload them to the pirate ship’s main computer – but you’ll have to try it yourself to see what happens!

Any original DLC

If you’ve ever missed any of the old Goat Simulator DLC packs on PC, then you’re in luck because all 5 are included in Goat Simulator: Remastered for you to enjoy. There’s even an additional DLC pack included that was originally exclusive to Goat Simulator Mobile – can you believe it?

From the medieval chaos of Goat MMO to the hilarious heists of PAYDAY, you can be sure you’re in for a wild ride.

Goat MMO simulator

While each DLC in Goat Simulator: Remastered has fun elements and numerous quirks, Goat MMO Simulator is my personal favorite. Not only was it incredibly fun to make, it also has some of the silliest, wildest, and craziest jokes in it. There are wandering NPCs screaming about their lost butter, elves asking you to embark on the important task of licking 10,000 things, demons spawned by a pack of nerdy goats, and a man asking you for help while pumping up his knee so he can reach the sky and an obligatory cow level (if you know, you know).

Discover things you may have missed the first time

There’s a lot packed into Goat Simulator, and if you played it in 2014, there’s a good chance you haven’t quite experienced it yet everything. There are tons of hidden secrets and niche mechanics that few know about, and with your newfound gaming skills from the last 10 years, you’ll undoubtedly discover more than before!

For example, the pentagram symbol from the base game is a key component in more than one quest, which many players were unaware of. Even better, there are some fun interactions in the game if you decide to bring other objects to the icon instead of those poor NPCs – I don’t want to give too much away, but definitely give it a try and see what you find!

You can be a goat

Did I mention that you get to play as a goat? Goat Simulator: Remastered is all about adopting the goat lifestyle, which means head-butting everything you see, licking random things, yelling at passers-by, and generally causing havoc.

If this sounds like something you’ve always wanted to do, then great! Because that’s what this game is all about – and let me tell you, it’s a lot of fun. Some would say it is even the most stubborn way of life.

Goat Simulator: Remastered is now available for Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC and with Game Pass.
