Saber Interactive Shows Unveil Game Awards Trailer
Turok games will always have a place in the memory of the most veteran players and Origins of the mountains It's Saber Interactive's homage to the classic shooter. Dinosaurs and aliens are back with a new installment, which at The Game Awards had a reveal gameplay trailer that looks really good.
Turok is back and one of the main things we wanted to show with this ad was the powers of DNA. We'll have the advantage while he performs a “Stomp” ability: he hits the ground, sending debris and a lightning shockwave that stuns the dinosaur. This allows for a quick swing of the tomahawk, followed by an energy arrow and gunshots.
Another of the most striking features are the biomorphic suits that the Turok uses in the game. These suits cover the Turok in real time to reflect the different DNA abilities that players can use. These are cool, detailed visuals that change as you move from one skill to another.
Each power is tuned to be effective in combat, and sometimes just using your weapons isn't enough to avoid multiple enemies. How improving these skills can help turn the battle in your favor.
When we play with friends online, we can complement our skills and make powerful combinations to face all types of enemies. This gives the title a strategic functionality when it comes to combat, in addition to adding more powers as you progress through the story.
As a new feature and despite Turok's first-person story, a third-person view has been added to better enjoy scenarios and strategic battles using DNA powers. With our experience in creating these types of high quality action shooter games that can be played alone or with friends, we thought this would be a perfect fit for where we wanted to go with this game and an evolution of the iconic franchise.
