Accessory manufacturer Nacon invited us to present their latest toy: the Arcade Stick. Updated version of his Daija already released on PS4, this new mount returns with a model for PS5 and especially Xbox!
As with its predecessor, the manufacturer has once again teamed up with professional streamer and gamer Kayane. We find the modularity of the buttons and sticks that can be modified with the spare parts provided and a mapping of the buttons that can be modified at will. The shooters just snap together and it’s a real breeze. Small novelty, the new version can accommodate Seimitsu buttons. The controller supports management of multiple profiles to adapt to PC and Xbox usage. There is a non-slip grip at the bottom that allows it to be used on your knees without constraint or on a pad.
An application is supplied with which you can make your own settings. In addition, it has the advantage of also working on our consoles, unlike its Japanese counterpart. With regard to the price, this was not yet certain when we exchanged it. However, the echoes that we had position it close to $300. The release is scheduled for November 8th.
It seems that the partnership between Nacon and Microsoft for this arcade stick is not very recent. In fact, the first exchanges date back to 2019. Unfortunately, the project had to be postponed due to the pandemic that was sweeping through there. However, it’s very nice to see the arrival of such an accessory after a major period of shortages for versus battles and related hardware throughout the Xbox One era. Especially after the announcements of the arrival of titles like Guilty Gear struts in Game Pass or Street Fighter VI on our consoles. The sign of a Seattle brand revival on the international fighting game scene?
