Devil May Cry V was released in March 2019 and has just seen a new version on next-gen consoles. With a new scenario, that of Virgil, and a graphics upgrade, the special edition of the game has been available since November 10th. So it makes sense that its creator, Hideaki Itsuno, is promoting it on his Twitter. What is more original, however, is to announce in passing that an announcement for his next game is very close!
Hideaki Itsuno is a familiar face from Capcom. The friendly and smiling creator is indeed the origin of the last Devil May Cry, but also of the series Dragon’s Dogma. He was also involved in the development of over twenty titles for the Japanese publisher, from Power Stone to Project X Zone to Auto Modellista. In short, he’s an important figure in society, and an essential element to say the least.
On his Twitter, the man appears to have used a motion capture session to share a post. He wishes players a Happy New Year 2021 and invites them to discover Devil May Cry V if they haven’t already. But above all, he shares his work with a still unknown title, the announcement of which could be very brief.
The new project under development is underway. There’s still a lot to be done, but look forward to the announcement!
While reading the Capcom calendar, an upcoming announcement would have its place. In Resident Evil Village, which is planned for this summer, and Pragmata, which expires in 2022, some titles are still officially launched. However, the Japanese publisher has got us used to multiplying the publications every year and offering many licenses to players around the world. It remains to be seen what the game designer is working on. A new dragon dogma? A new Rival’s School, whose resurrection was announced in 2012 by the same Itsuno? The puzzle is complete, but it shouldn’t take long!
